Requirements for Graduation
B.S. Degree in Kinesiology

To be recommended for a Bachelor of Science Degree you must complete the following requirements:

College and Major Coursework

  • College core requirements including human biology or anatomy and physiology
  • Kinesiology core requirements
  • One kinesiology specialization
  • Elective credits or a minor
  • 128 total credits TOTAL
  • Coursework completed within 7 years
  • No less than 36 upper division credits
  • 2.00 GPA

Students seeking a Bachelor of Arts Degree must take two years of foreign language.

Exit Examinations

  • College COMP Examination
  • Health and Kinesiology Exit Exam

Additional Exit Requirements

  • Complete research project and oral presentation
  • Self-reflection on National Standards and Program Standards
  • Complete Exit Portfolio
  • File an application for graduation with the Registrar's Office
  • Pay graduation fee in the Registrar's Office

The Employment Portfolio must include the following components:

  • Table of contents
  • Cover Letter (introduce yourself, tell why you are a good job candidate, describe some pertinent experiences)
  • Biographical sketch or Resume
  • Goal Statements-future
  • Philosophy of Kinesiology or Specialization Statement
  • Certification/licensing documents (copy of documents, transcripts,exam scores)
  • List of relevant courses
  • Recommendation letters or evaluations of performances
