Kinesiology Minor

28 credits

The Kinesiology Minor is designed for:

  1. An individual interested in motor skill development and physical activity in a variety of related careers including sports administration, sales, recreation, social services, and journalism.
  2. The prospective teacher with another subject major who may wish employment with K-12 or 6-12 physical education or coaching as part of the teaching load.

To qualify for an Idaho 6-12 Physical Education Endorsement, KIN 381 and an approved teacher education program must be added to this minor; for a K-12 Endorsement, KIN 352 or KIN/ED 316 must also be added. Students must also pass the Praxis II exam #0091-Physical Ed:Content Knowledge.
