Our Mission

Greetings from Health and Kinesiology Faculty!

We’d like to invite you to share some time with us at Lewis-Clark State College as we move into the new millennium focused on our program theme, Healthy People, Active Lifestyles. This theme captures the essence of who we are as educators, scholars and individuals. It weaves a common thread through each aspect of our program.

In case you are not familiar with us, our efforts lie primarily with LCSC’ s degree seeking students who will teach sport, physical activity and other health enhancing behaviors in schools, universities, corporations and community based agencies. We encourage students to also seek careers requiring graduate study in a variety of fields including physical/occupational/recreation therapy; athletic training/sports medicine; exercise physiology; nutrition; cardiopulmonary rehabilitation; recreation and sport administration.

When you come to campus you’ll see we are committed to campus, community and regional leadership in Wellness Education by offering instruction and services that promote one of our favorite concepts... living well and aging well through active, healthy lifestyles.

We look forward to working with you in the near future.

Sincerely yours,

Dr. Betsy Van Clief
