Planning and Preparation:         

Planning and Preparation are important keys to ensuring your own safety and the safety of those around you. Here are some suggested tips:

 
●  Update your contact information in the LCSC information systems.
  Students access WarriorWeb to make certain your addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses are current. Changes to your information can be made by simply logging in to your account and making those changes. Students should also update their family contact information to make certain that LCSC has your current email addresses and contact information to notify your family in case of an emergency. Changes to your family contact information can only be made in person, with ID, or via email to the Office of Registrar.
  Staff can review their contact information for work and home by double checking the printed Personnel Directory and the online Staff directory on the LCSC website. Any changes to your personal information should be updated on your departments Emergency Phone Tree list. You should also email any personal changes to Human Resources Services to update payroll information. with ID, or via email to the Office of Registrar.
●  Know what your role is during an emergency
  ◦ If you are responsible for notifying staff or students in your area, know the best way to communicate with them quickly. If you are in an essential services role, know where to go and what your responsibilities are.
●  Voluntarily subscribe to RSS emergency feeds
  ◦ From the LCSC Emergency Website you have the opportunity to receive emergency notifications on your cell phone.
●  Add emergency phone numbers to your cell phone.

●  Report suspicious persons or activity
  Report all suspicious persons or activity to Campus Security immediately.
  Seeking help or referring a friend in crisis.
  ◦ If you, a friend or any member of the LCSC community is struggling with personal issues or behaviors, LCSC has the resources to help.
  ◦ Students can access a variety of services online through the Office of Student Life’s website, www.lcsc.edu/osl including Crisis Hot Lines, Outreach services and Alcohol and Substance Abuse counseling. Professional counseling services are free of charge to currently enrolled students.
◦ Faculty, staff and their immediate family members can receive free personal counseling through LCSC’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Appointments can be made by calling toll free (877)427-2327 or by visiting www.bpahealth.com .
