We offer a high-quality English language program on the beautiful Lewis-Clark State College campus. Many of our students choose to live with an American host family or in the dorms with other American college students. Our community is mostly made up of native English-speakers so students must practice their English while studying here. We have two large rivers that run through our town: The famous Snake River and the Clearwater River. We have many community parks and a paved pathway for recreational purposes along the rivers.Only 11 miles away is an American Indian community where you can learn about the history of the Nez Perce Indians and see how they live today. The town is connected by a bus service, or many students choose to walk or bike around town.
Our program is taught by highly-qualified teachers with master's or doctorate degrees. All teachers are encouraged to participate in frequent professional development activities and contribute to the field of English-language education. Students who finish our English langugage program can study for a degree at Lewis-Clark State College and the University of Idaho without taking the TOEFL or IELTS test!
Our curriculum is innovative and fresh. We pride ourselves on continued improvement and changing with the times. We incorporate technology when possible and design the classroom experience to be interactive and fun. We are also serious about learning. Classes are well-structured with clearly defined goals and curriculum.
