Hello! I am the director of the
Educational Talent Search program at Lewis-Clark State College. The program
serves students in the communities of
Lapwai, Orofino, Kamiah, and Kooskia. I have
been with LCSC since November 1999. Before coming to ETS, I worked as an instructor at the Adult Learning Center and a
student services coordinator with Distance Learning. I earned my
Bachelors
of Science in Secondary Education and Masters of Education
in Adult Education, both from the University of Idaho, and am
currently pursuing my doctoral degree. When I am not working and
studying, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Brian, and my two
children, Madison and Benjamin. |

Hello! Thanks for visiting this
site! I’d like to briefly introduce myself. Now, I’m not going to go
into age, but just know I have been out of high school for a long
time! But please don’t let that lead you to think I don’t know
anything about high school – this mind isn’t deteriorating yet. I am
a true Idaho girl - born and raised - and I completed my K-12
education in the Lewiston School District. I attempted to attend
LCSC, but had to leave on sabbatical for a few years. I decided to
take some time to reorganize my life so I moved to Wapato, WA and
had a couple of cute kids, Olivia (15) & Lincoln (12). I realized my
occupation was not really what I had in mind for a career and
contacted LCSC again. Upon my return to school, I was accepted into
the College of Education and received my Bachelor of Science degree
in Education in 2001. I worked as an interim special education
teacher at Lapwai Middle School for one year and landed a job with
the Nez Perce Tribe’s Education Department. I worked with all
educational levels within this office: GED, remedial courses, and
college courses through Northwest Indian College. I took a chance
when I came upon a wonderful opportunity with Educational Talent
Search and it paid off. So as you can see from my job history after
college, I have found a niche within the field of Education. I enjoy
what I do and am happy to say I look forward to the challenge that
this job brings! |
