Our on campus, departments and divisions host events at times for off campus guests. Below are classifications to help you determine what fees your hosted event will incur.
Event rental rates apply to all events not directly hosted by an LCSC department. An event hosted by an LCSC department implies that LCSC is the coordinator of the event and is directly responsible for invitations to the event. A hosted event must also have active participation by LCSC employees and/or students. The hosting department must designate a LCSC representative as the point of contact for event setup and resource arrangements.
LCSC departments may also sponsor events conducted by an outside entity. When an LCSC department sponsors an outside event, rental fees are normally waived but setup fees still apply. If the outside entity is charging a fee to attendees, whether the fee is charged to LCSC or non-LCSC attendees, the rental fee will not be waived. The lowest tier rental fee will apply in addition to applicable setup fees. The sponsoring department may elect to pay the fees or under special circumstances make a request through the appropriate VP or President for alternate funding. All requests should be submitted within two weeks of the event start date.
LCSC Affiliates do not incur a rental fee but are required to pay setup fees. If an admission fee is charged for the Affiliates event, the admission rate applies plus the setup fee. Affiliates are defined as entities that reciprocate space and resource usage with LCSC at no charge and on a regular basis.
