3. Honors recognition at graduation
	a. Discussion ensued about the complications of changing the honors policy, with the potential need for “converting” transcripts from other institutions to correspond with LCSC’s grading schema.
	b. Other factors important to a policy change: the need for an additional screen in Datatel to be built, and a query to calculate various GPAs. There is no official online catalog, so implementation must also coincide with the next catalog revision. An online catalog that includes changes in “real time” is estimated to be ready by fall ’06.
	c. The staff time required to input critical data from transcripts could be staggered to minimize disruption. IT, admissions, and the registrar need to be a part of these discussions, as the policy change will affect their respective areas.
	d. Consensus indicated that a revised honors policy could be implemented with the fall ’07 catalog, and a revised honors policy used for commencement in May ’07. Current policy for awarding of honors would continue until that time, and the calculation for honors recognition at graduation ’06 would follow the “1-time” exception recommended earlier this semester.
	e. Discussion tabled until additional data on complexity of transition is provided by Andy Hanson.
4. SRI's
	a. The committee spent considerable time discussing and editing a proposed change to the SRIs.
	b. The revised course evaluation will be taken back to the divisions for comments before submitting it to the Senate.
