Report of the Administrative Procedure Committee
To the LCSC Faculty Senate
Dec. 9, 2004

The Administrative Procedures Committee met on Friday, December 3, 2004.  We discussed the following items:

A)  Responses of faculty to the proposal to re-create the General Education Committee as a Standing Committee of the Faculty Senate.  The concerns expressed by faculty to date pertain to the lengths of members’ terms and the curriculum proposal process.  We will attempt to address these concerns and also to generate more faculty response to the proposal. 

B)  The committee is continuing revision of Policies 2.106 and 2.107. 

C)  Discussion continues of Policy 2.113 on Periodic Performance Review, pending responses from the divisions to the recommendation of including Annual Evaluations to the review materials to be submitted.  We hope to vote on these revisions at our next meeting. 

D)  We are discussing the Constitutional construction of the Standing Tenure & Promotion Review Committee.  Specifically, we are discussing the inclusion of Non-tenured faculty on this committee.  We will seek input from the faculty and continue this discussion at our next meeting.

The committee will meet next at 4 p.m. on December 14^th.
