Report of the Administrative Procedure Committee
To the LCSC Faculty Senate
Feb. 24, 2004

(1)       The APC presents two proposed policy revisions to the Faculty Senate for a first reading.  Senators are asked to solicit feedback regarding the proposals from their divisions before voting on the proposals.  Having been presented at the 2/22/05 Faculty Association meeting for a first reading, the proposal for revision of the STPRC will also require a vote of the Faculty Association at its April meeting. 

Please find the proposed revisions attached to this report.  The first concerns LCSC Policy #2.113, Periodic Performance Review; the second relates to the LCSC Constitution, 1.104, Article IV, Section 5 B, Standing Tenure & Performance Committee Structure. 

(2)                    The APC is continuing revision of Policies 2.106 and 2.107.  The proposed revisions will be presented to the Faculty Senate at the 3/27 meeting.

(3)                    The APC is continuing to seek feedback from the divisions regarding the proposal to make the General Education Committee a Standing Committee of the Faculty Senate.  Issues of concern that have been defined by faculty to date concern the composition of the proposed committee (5 members from different divisions) and length of terms (5 years).  The committee will continue this discussion at its meeting on 2/28/05
