A. Jeff Matthews reported that he will have the finalized reports on salary compression at our next meeting, including suggestions for remedying these instances in FY05-06. This analysis is employing only internal comparisons. He is also preparing a salary step plan proposal, and Ed Miller is assisting. B. The committee discussed the difference in allocation of sick leave benefits between LCSC faculty and BSU and ISU faculty and Ron Smith’s report to the Faculty Senate on 2/24 concerning differences in payroll systems. We are researching the payroll systems at BSU and ISU and will discuss this at our next meeting on March 31st. C. The committee discussed and agreed to propose to the divisions that all monies realized from faculty salary savings this year be utilized to address faculty salary compression and inequity issues, and that any monies allocated by the legislature be utilized for merit raises for all employees. Members are to present the divisions’ responses at the 3/31 meeting, at which time we will vote on the recommendations to be taken forward to the Compensation Review Group.
