Curriculum Deadlines
• Proposals need to be submitted
by Thursday at Noon, the week prior to the scheduled
Curriculum meeting, in order to receive their first
reading at the Curriculum meeting. Proposals go
through division chairs, the dean and the curriculum
chair before going to the Curriculum Committee.
All proposals receive two readings in the committee
before being sent to Senate.
• Any curriculum changes to
courses that will affect the Summer or Fall 2013 term
must be submitted to the Curriculum website by Noon on
Nov. 13, 2012, so that they can be approved by Faculty
Senate at their last meeting of the fall semester.
• All requests for changes that
will not affect courses offered in the Summer or Fall
2013 terms must be submitted to the Curriculum website
by Noon on Feb. 14, 2013, so that they can be approved
by Faculty Senate before April 2013.
• For new majors and minors to be
added to the 2013-2014 PIF, they must be approved
through the Curriculum Committee/Faculty Senate/Provost
and the SBOE. Therefore, any proposals for new majors
and minors must also meet the November deadline and be
submitted by Noon on Nov. 13, 2012.
• Any curriculum proposal that has
not been approved by the Curriculum Committee/Faculty
Senate/Provost and the SBOE by May 2, 2013 will not be included in the
2013-2014 online catalog.
