The Nursing/Health Science Building plans are
coming together. The
design/build team of McAlvain/ZGA is working
hard to gather everyone’s
“wants”. There will be several classrooms with
distance learning
technology capability. The site and actual
design has not been selected
yet. Contact the Provost or me if you have
specific questions at this point.

On October 15th the first of a series
of free preview screening films will
be shown at the Library TCC at 7pm. It is an
“Independent Lens”
documentary entitled ‘Please Vote for Me’. A
film about teaching the democratic process to
elementary students in China. Check out the
series of films that will be shown over the next
few months at
www.lcsc.edu/ce/ITVS.htm.

Kudos to Patricia Keith and Sean Cassidy for
their film about Tibet and
Nancy Johnson for her astronomy talk. Both were
well attended.

I have been taking some pictures of Senate
activities this week. In the
future you may see an actual “snapshot” on the
Senate Snapshot.

Please remind your constituents: We have a
Faculty Association meeting
on 10/18 at 3:15 in the WCC. We will be voting
on several committee
members so a quorum is a must. See you then.
