Senate Snapshot
10/19/07

• Thanks to all who came to our first Faculty Association meeting yesterday.
  After a few tense moments we made our quorum and were able to vote
  on several committee members and committee chairs. Congratulations to
  the newly elected!
• The SCE Task Force (not a Faculty Senate subcommittee) has met for
  the first time. They will have a website and Lynne Bidwell will add it as
  a link to our Senate webpage as a courtesy to us since this is such an
  important issue for all faculty. .Please look for it and follow their progress.
• Today, 10/19, there will be another demonstration of a student email
  vendor – Microsoft mail. It is in Admin 203 at 3pm. Last week, time
  cruiser, our current student email system presented their product.
  Next week, 10/26, G mail (google vendor) will present at 3pm in Admin
  203.
• The Faculty Affairs Committee has been actively working on Academic
  Integrity and Plagiarism as one of our top priorities this year.  The
  committee has been working with the Library Staff, particularly
  Barbara Barnes and Lynne Bidwell. Barbara has been putting together
  plagiarism and academic integrity information in to one website that
  faculty and staff can access.  The direct link to the website is at

• Lynne Bidwell has ordered a plethora of library resources pertaining
  to academic integrity and plagiarism that will be in the form of an
  annotated bibliography for faculty, staff, and administration in the
  coming weeks.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to
