Susan attended the State Board of Education meeting

Thursday, 2/28. VP Herbst discussed Clearwater Hall,
the LC residence
hall in downtown Lewiston. There may be an
opportunity to purchase
the facility in the future. Currently, we rent the
building. BSU, as the
SBOE meeting host school, presented a report on the
school’s initiatives
and current programs. They will be building a new
nursing facility also,
to open fall, 2009. President Kustra showed a
recruitment video entitled
“Research Matters” highlighting faculty and student
research from a
variety of disciplines across the BSU campus.
The Student Fee Hearing took place on 2/25 at noon
in the TCC. The
Administration and Student Leadership invited
students to provide
feedback about the proposed 5% increase in student
fees. Overall,
the students attending the hearing were in favor of
the 5% increase.
