March 1 Scholarship and FAFSA Priority Deadline

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2013-2014 school year can be completed on-line beginning January 1 at www.fafsa.gov.  For LCSC to receive your FAFSA results, you need to include LCSC’s school code: 001621.

There is no deadline for submitting the FAFSA, however LCSC has a March 1 Priority Deadline. The Priority Deadline is a date, determined by LCSC, which the FAFSA must be received by the Central Processor in order to be considered for certain types of aid. Many of the Student Aid Programs other than the Pell Grant (e.g. work-study, need-based scholarships, and state grants) have only limited funding available. Students who do not meet this deadline will not be considered for these awards. In order to meet the Priority Deadline, your application must be received by the Central Processor no later than March 1. In addition, students must be admitted to LCSC by this date to be considered priority.

LCSC's Scholarship deadline is also March 1.  To be considered for merit and out-of-state tuition scholarships be sure to be at least Tentatively Admitted with the Office of Admission by March 1.  Scholarship Applications for all other LCSC scholarships can be found on-line at www.lcsc.edu/financialaid/scholarships.htm.
