Priority Deadline

The Priority Deadline is a date determined by Lewis-Clark State College on which the FAFSA must be received by the Central Processor in order to be considered for certain types of aid. Many of the Student Aid Programs other than the Pell Grant (e.g. work-study and state grants) have only limited funding available. Students who do not meet this deadline will not be considered for these awards. In order to meet the Priority Deadline, your application must be received by the Central Processor no later than March 1. Be sure to use the envelope that is enclosed in the FAFSA. Do not send your application overnight or priority mail. In addition, students must be admitted to LCSC by this date and all documents requested by the Financial Aid Office must be received by April 30 to be considered priority.

Documents Needed to Complete the FAFSA*

  1. Your and your spouse’s Federal Income Tax Return
  2. Your parents’ Federal Income Tax Return (if dependent)
  3. Business and Farm Records
  4. W-2 Forms
  5. Bank Statements

*Keep copies of your completed FAFSA and ALL documents!!

If you do not complete your Federal Income Tax Return in time to meet the March 1 Priority Deadline, you should use estimated figures on the FAFSA and update them at a later date. Do not mail your tax return and financial aid records to the Central Processor.
