Determining Your Financial Aid Eligibility

The Financial Aid Office will determine your financial aid eligibility by subtracting your EFC from the Cost of Education. If anything is left over, you are considered to demonstrate need. The Financial Aid Office will then package aid awards up to the amount of your demonstrated need.

Cost of Education   $10,000
minus EFC:     $1,000
Financial Need =     $9,000

Financial Aid Package and Award Notification

Your financial aid package is the total amount of financial aid that you will receive, and may include the following types of aid: grants, scholarships, work-study and loans. You will be informed of these awards in a Financial Aid Award Notification letter. This document will detail your Cost of Education, EFC, Financial Aid Eligibility and the types and amounts of aid being offered to you. You must either accept or reject the awards, update and correct any information, sign the award notification, and return it to the Financial Aid Office by the deadline provided. Generally, scholarship notifications which outline renewal criteria and terms of award will be mailed separately.
