Attempted Fraud

When completing the FAFSA, you must do so accurately. Lewis-Clark State College, the state of Idaho or the U.S. Department of Education can verify the information that you provide. If you purposely report false or misleading information you may lose certain rights and benefits, forfeit financial aid eligibility, be prosecuted under state and/or federal law and be subject to a $10,000 fine, imprisonment or both. If you receive Federal Student Aid based on falsified or inaccurate information you will be required to pay it back. Attempted fraud includes forgery, using false identities, incorrect financial information and false claims of independent and citizenship status.
