Twelve scholarships are available to full-time
students at LCSC who have minumum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and have
been accepted into the nursing program. Recipients will be
expected to apply for work as a registered nurse at St. Joseph
Regional Medical Center after graduation. Each scholarship is
equal to full-time resident fees plus a $100 book allowance. A

This loan forgiveness program encourages students
to pursue a degree in nursing, and provide two years of service,
after graduation, to the state of Idaho. Students who receive
this award will have a total of eight years to complete their
degree, secure a job within the state, and complete their two
years of service. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0,
enroll for full-time credits, and be a graduate of an Idaho high
school within two years of receipt of the award. Three new awards
are available each year, equal to full-time resident fees. A
separate application is required and must be submitted by March
1. Student must provide grade transcripts. For further

This nursing scholarship seeks to encourage
recipients to remain in the LC Valley after graduation. Students
must demonstrate serious intentions towards a nursing career and
have completed at least one semester of college work. Four awards
(2 each semester) are available each year, valued at $500. A
separate application is required and must be submitted by
September 1 (fall semester) and January 1 (spring semester). For

One award, equal to full-time resident fees each
semester is available to students who have been accepted into the
Nursing Division. Students must have financial need and
demonstrate the ability to succeed in the nursing profession. A
separate application is required and must be submitted by March

Each year, two scholarships valued at $1,800 are
awarded from the Clay Taylor Embry and Mary Almire Smith Embry
Memorial Scholarship fund. Applicants must be a high school
graduate (or equivalent) who intend to begin a full-time nursing
program in the fall semester. Full-time nursing students entering
their second year are also eligible. Students must have a high
school cumulative GPA of 2.5 or an 2.5 college GPA, with a
minimum of 2.0 in any subject during the first year of the
nursing program. Recipients will be expected to apply for a
position at Tri-State after graduation and work for at least one
year after licensing as a Registered Nurse. A separate
application is required and must be submitted by June 1. For more
