John AK Barker Endowed Scholarship
         
Foundation Scholarship

The intent of this scholarship is to assist students who have demonstrated performance in all aspects of theatre. Applicants must be of at least sophomore class standing, classified as a full-time student (12 credits), and have a cumulative GPA that is consistent with the minimum required for admission and for progress toward his or her selected major. Preference shall be given to non-traditional students. Minimum award will be $250. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

Browning Family Scholarship in Creative Writing
         
Foundation Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicant must be a full-time student, carrying 12 or more credits per semester, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and must major in English, with an emphasis in creative writing, for the duration of the scholarship.  In addition to the application, applicants will be asked to submit a writing sample of up to ten pages of poetry, or up to thirty pages of prose: fiction or creative nonfiction, a letter of recommendation from someone familiar with the applicants work and a statement of purpose in applying for the award. Recipients of the award who continue to meet the above criteria, may reapply for the award up to three times. There is one annual award available in a variable amount. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

Laura Moore Cunningham Publishing Arts Scholarship
         
Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship was established at Lewis-Clark State College to assist students who are pursuing a professional career in Publishing Arts. To be eligible for this scholarship applicants must be classified as full-time students, carrying 12 or more credits each semester, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, be an Idaho resident and have financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate unusual promise or genuine interest in the publishing arts (book publishing, applied technology, marketing or business). The award amount is variable. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

Connie McLaughlin Gibbar Music Scholarship
         
Foundation Scholarship

To be eligible for this award students must be a music minor and/or be someone who has demonstrated commitment to the study of music as attested and recommended by the music faculty. Applicants must be enrolled and participate in an LCSC musical performance group. Applicants must be full-time students and cumulative GPA must be consistent with the minimum required for admission and for progress toward his/her major. GPA shall be a determinant consideration in the selection process and applicants must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. The amount of the award varies. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

Norman Maclean Scholarship
         
Foundation Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicant must have a junior or senior class standing, officially declared a major in English at LCSC, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and be registered for at least two courses (a minimum of 6 credits) at the time of application and preference may be given to full-time students. Amount is variable. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

Music Performance Scholarship

This scholarship is designed to enhance and invite participation in the Lewis-Clark State College Music Department, which includes musical groups such as concert choir, vocal, jazz ensemble, chamber singers, jazz singers, jazz band, and orchestra. The number of annual awards available range from 10 to 20 and the amount is $200. A separate application is required and must be submitted by March 1. John L. Nydegger Scholarship
         
Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to students who are involved in Fine and Performing Arts at Lewis-Clark State College. To be eligible, applicants must have taken theatre courses, have a minimum GPA of 2.5 with a 3.0 in theatre courses, enroll for 12 credits, and be a sophomore. Priority is given to students intending to pursue a career in teacher education. Preference will be given to students involved in backstage and performance work. One award is available annually. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

Bob Olson Endowed Scholarship in Debate
         
Foundation Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship a student must be classified as a full-time student, be a current member of the Speech and Debate Team or must be intending to join (in the case of a new participant, the recipient must have joined the Speech and Debate Team at the time of registration for the semester), have a previous high school or college involvement with speech and debate and must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Priority will be given to applicants with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. The amount of the award is variable. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

Carolyn Silverthorne Memorial Scholarship
         
Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship was created for the purpose of offsetting the educationally-related expenses of a Lewis-Clark State College student.  To be eligible, applicants must be classified as a full-time student with at least junior status, have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5, must demonstrate capabilities in all aspects of the theatre and have theatre-oriented career plans and must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office.  The amount of the award is variable. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

The Three Generation Scholarship - The Larry Butts Family
         
Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship was established in honor of Susan Butts' graduation from Lewis-Clark State College in May 2004.  Susan, her mother Patricia J. Butts and grandmother Verna S. Butts were all graduates of Lewis-Clark State College.  Applicants must be classified as a full-time student carrying 12 or more credits per semester and must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.  Preference will be given to Lewiston High School alumni and to students enrolled in, or have already taken, Video Productions.  The award is $500 per year.  A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.
