Financial Aid

Scholarships and Waivers

LCSC provides access to a wide variety of institutional scholarships, out-of-state tuition scholarships/waivers and outside funding opportunities. Scholarships are available for various majors, minority students, first-year freshman and non-traditional students.

  • Awards are based on academic merit, financial need or a combination of both.
  • For scholarships requiring a General Application, only one application, paper or electronic need be submitted. Students need to complete the checklist, which is included with the application, indicating the scholarships for which they are applying.
  • For all scholarships which include the statement "demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office", students must file a FAFSA prior to the March 1 Priority Deadline. This is how financial need will be determined. If no FAFSA information is on file by the Priority Deadline, the application will be considered incomplete.
  • Out-of-state tuition scholarships/waivers are available to non-resident students.
  • Out-of-state tuition scholarships/waivers are applied to out-of-state tuition and fees and are not intended to cover in-state tuition or fees.
  • The number and dollar amounts of scholarship awards each year will depend on the availability of funding.
  • Individual scholarship programs may be eliminated or reduced subject to changes by Idaho State Board of Education or Idaho legislative regulations.

Below is a list of scholarships grouped by major, division or category. Start your search by clicking on the link(s) that best fit your program or interests. Each scholarship summary on the subsequent pages will indicate the application required for applying. For those requiring a General Application, the printable or electronic application is available on the side of each page. Only one General Application, paper or electronic, is required per student.

Scholarships awarded by Lewis-Clark State College are based on available funding. Many scholarships are funded from endowment revenue or by individual donors. The number of scholarships awarded and the amount of each is subject to change depending on conditions in the financial market, changes in college policies, or other factors. Scholarship awards are not final or official until a formal, written award notification has been generated from Lewis-Clark State College.

If you have questions about any of the scholarships listed, please feel free to utilize the Financial Aid Office as a resource at any time by e-mailing us at scholarships@lcsc.edu
