Social Science Scholarships

Be sure to first read the submission instructions relating to the version of the General Application you are submitting (paper or online). Only one General Application is required per student. If completing the paper version, be sure to include the checklist indicating the scholarships for which you would like to be considered.

General Applications, paper or online, must be submitted by the March 1 deadline.

All scholarships require a General Application, unless otherwise noted in the scholarship description. For scholarships requiring a separate application, it will be listed below the description.

The William G. Clouser Social Work Scholarship          

This scholarship was established in honor of William G. Clouser. Dr. Clouser was a faculty member and Program Director in the Social Work Program.

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • At least quarter-time, enrolled in nine or more credits per semester
  • Must be entering their senior year
  • Must submit a personal letter describing why you've chosen a career in social work.

john r. seaman social work scholarship

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Full-time student, enrolled in 12 or more credits
  • Pursuing a degree in social work at the LCSC-Coeur d'Alene Center
  • Have completed at least 90 credits
  • Must submit a personal letter describing why you've chosen a career in social work

John Streiff Memorial Scholarship          

The intent of this scholarship is to provide funding for outstanding students majoring in Social or Political Science

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Pursuing a degree in either Social or Political Science
  • Have a class standing of junior or above
  • Be actively involved in both the campus and community
  • Preference:
    • Given to individuals from the LC Valley
