The "21" Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Mrs. Greeta Paris
during her lifetime and supported by the many friends and family members
who made gifts to the "21" Scholarship in Mrs. Paris' memory for the
purpose of offsetting the educationally-related expenses of a Lewis-Clark
State College student from the Culdesac-Lapwai area. To be eligible,
applicants must be an entering first year student and have a cumulative
GPA of at least 2.5. Preference shall be given to students from the
Culdesac-Lapwai area and with demonstrated financial need, as determined
by the Financial Aid Office. The amount of the award is variable.
A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

Alumni Student Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
The Alumni Student Scholarship was established by donations from Alumni
and friends of Lewis-Clark State College for the purpose of offsetting the
educationally-related expenses of Lewis-Clark State College students.
Applicants must have a parent or grandparent who is a graduate of LCSC, or
its predecessors; LSNS (Lewiston State Normal School), NICE (North Idaho
College of Education), or LCNS (Lewis-Clark Normal School). They must
also meet the following criteria: 1) have a minimum GPA of 3.0, 2) be
an enrolled, full-time student with 12 or more credits, and 3) demonstrate
financial need. Preference will be given to students showing
involvement on-campus and/or in the community. A General Application
is required and must be submitted by March 1.

The Robert (Jack) Bowler Endowed
Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Robert (Jack) and Pearl
Bowler. To be eligible
students must be in incoming freshman, be pursuing a four year degree,
have a 3.0 cumulative g.p.a, be enrolled in at least 12 credits per
semester, and demonstrate financial need, as determined by the
Financial Aid Office. Student’s receiving an athletic scholarship are
not eligible for this scholarship.
Student’s may reapply one time for this scholarship. A General
Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

The Diana Brown Endowed
Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
Diana Brown has set up this
scholarship to benefit a non-traditional student that is a cancer
survivor, is currently battling cancer, or who has had to deal with
cancer in their immediate family. Student must be a
non-traditional student that demonstrates a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and is
registered as a degree-seeking, full-time (12 credits) student.
Recipients must demonstrate financial need, as determined by the
Financial Aid Office. This is not a renewable scholarship and
students must re-apply each school year. A General Application is required and must be
submitted by March 1.

Walter & Elsie Carr Endowed Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the families of
Walter and Elsie Carr who met when they attended LCSC together in 1928.
Mr. Carr taught 8th grade for many years at Emmett, Idaho. To
be eligible a student must be enrolled for at least 12 credits.
Preference will be given to a graduate of Emmett High School. A General
Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

Glen and Babs Carlson Endowed Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship was established in gratitude by the LCSC
Foundation with income from the contributions of Glen and Babs Carlson for the
purpose of offsetting the educationally-related expenses of a Lewis-Clark
State College student. To be eligible, applicants must have a
cumulative GPA consistent with the minimum required for admission and for
progress toward his or her major. A General Application is required
and must be submitted by March 1.

Transfer Scholarship
This scholarship has been set up
to assist transfer students who wish to complete their bachelor’s
degree at Lewis-Clark State College. The transfer student must have
an official transcript with an Associates degree posted at
Lewis-Clark State College prior to the beginning of the semester
initially awarded. Students must also be a
full-time, degree seeking student with a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or
higher. This is a renewable $500 per year scholarship for those who
meet and maintain eligibility requirements. Preference will be
given to students who transfer from the following colleges: North
Idaho College, Community Colleges in the Spokane area, College of
Southern Idaho, Walla Walla Community College, and Treasure Valley
Community College.

Laura Moore Cunningham Foundation General Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicant must
be classified as a full-time student, carrying 12 or more credits per
semester and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Student must
demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
Student must be an Idaho resident. Annual
awards are variable. A General Application is required and must be
submitted by March 1.

Datatel Scholars Foundation
(DSF)
Datatel Scholars Foundation Offers
four different scholarships to students currently attending Lewis-Clark
State College, a Datatel Client Institution. They are:
1. Datatel Scholars
Foundation Scholarship - this scholarship is open to any student
attending LCSC.
2. Angelfire
Scholarship - the Angelfire is for any student currently
attending LCSC who served during combat in the Vietnam War,
Operation Desert Storm, Operation Endearing Freedom, and/or
Operation Iraqi Freedom.
3. Returning Student
Scholarship - this scholarship is for outstanding students who
have returned to school after a five year absense or more.
4. Nancy Goodhue Lynch
Scholarship - for outstanding undergraduate students who are
majoring in Information Technology related curriculum programs.

The Fisher-Clark Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the bequest of Barbara J. Clark in
memory of her family and their long history with Lewis-Clark State
College. It was created for the purpose of offsetting the
educationally-related expenses of a Lewis-Clark State College student.
To be eligible a student must be female, have a cumulative grade point
average consistent with the minimum required for admission and for
progress toward her major, and must have financial need as determined by
the Financial Aid Office. A General Application is
required and must be submitted by March 1.

This scholarship was established in
2004 by family, friends and colleagues in memory of Dean A. Froehlich.
To be eligible a student must be enrolled for at least 12 credits and
have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to students who
demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and
to non-traditional, single parents
who are returning to higher education and are planning to stay in Idaho.

Lola Gamble-Clyde Memorial Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must
attend Lewis-Clark State College and enroll for 12 credits, the recipient
may be taking part of his or her course work at one of the LCSC's outreach
sites through Extended Programs. Students should be accepted into their
division and program of study. Majority of core requirements should be
complete with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or must meet the GPA required for
their division, while Vocational students must have completed at least one
year of an AAS degree with a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Preference will be given
to students who demonstrate financial need and who are past or present
participants in the TRIO programs. A variable number of awards are
available as well as amounts. A General Application is required and must
be submitted by March 1.

Irene Carlson Gnaedinger Memorial Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicant must
be a graduate of Lapwai High School, demonstrate a minimum cumulative GPA
of 2.5 and enroll for a minimum of 12 credits in a baccalaureate degree
program. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial
need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. One annual award is
available and the amount is variable. A General Application is required

This scholarship was established by the Grand Chapter
of Idaho Order of the Eastern Star for the purpose of offsetting the

To be eligible for this award, applicants must be classified as a

This scholarship was established by Jack
M. and Mary Lou
Gruber in memory of their parents who were not afforded the opportunity of a
college education. To be eligible for this scholarship you must 1) have a
minimum of a 3.0 GPA, 2) be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits, and 3) be
actively involved in both the campus and the community. Preference will be
given to students from the Lewis-Clark Valley. A General Application is
required and must be submitted by March 1.

Jimmy Guild Memorial
Scholarship
The Jimmy Guild Memorial Scholarship is sponsored each year by the
United Paperworkers International Union, Local #712. Students
must be enrolled full-time, majoring in either mathematics with
interest in computer science or be in a major within the Technical
and Industrial Division or be majoring in Nursing.
Students must also have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Preference will be given to students graduating from local high
schools and who are affiliated with a member of the United
Paperworkers International Union, Local #608/712. This is a
non-renewable scholarship. Deadline for submitting application
is May 17.

This scholarship was established by Reverend Henry L. and Mrs. Mary H.
Sugden to offset the educationally-related expenses of a Lewis-Clark

The scholarship was established by the Estate of
Patricia Maynard Henderson for the purpose of offsetting the
educationally-related expenses of Lewis-Clark State College students.
To be eligible, applicants must have completed at least one semester at
LCSC, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, and preference will be given
to those with financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid Office.

Scholarship
This scholarship was established for the benefit of
students from Lewiston, Idaho and Clarkston, Washington attending
Lewis-Clark State College who need financial assistance during the
beginning stages of their college experience. To be eligible,
applicants must have completed at least one semester at LCSC with a
minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA and show evidence of a definite financial need to
continue his/her education. Preference shall be given to former
Kiwanis Key Club members. The amount of the award is $100.

Lewiston Service League Memorial Scholarships
To be eligible for this scholarship, students
should be full-time (at least 12 credit hours), a family person returning
to school, demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA and the
Financial Aid Office, show academic promise or ability to satisfactorily
complete college work with a minimum grade point average of 3.0, and have
intentions of continuing their education to completion of a degree. Applications are available from the

LEWISTON SERVICE LEAGUE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The Elizabeth McKissick Memorial Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is specifically intended to provide
scholarship support for young people who, for personal, financial, or
other reasons discontinued their education, and for those who are in need
of retraining, who wish to return to school. The recipient of this
scholarship must be at least 22 years of age at the time of application,
be classified as at least a half time student (taking 6 or more credits
per semester), have a cumulative GPA that is consistent with the minimum
required for admission and for progress toward his or her major, and have
financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Selection
priority shall be given to students who graduated from or who attended
Lewiston High School. In the event that there are no applicants with a
Lewiston High School affiliation, the scholarship may be awarded to any
student meeting the other scholarship selection criteria. The amount of
the award is variable. A General Application is required and must be
submitted by March 1.

The Lawrence Mills Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship has been established to benefit an LCSC student from
Lewis or Idaho County.
This scholarship is available to incoming freshman students attending
12 or more credits. Student may re-apply for this scholarship their
sophomore year if they maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Students must have a 3.0

Non-Traditional
Student Scholarship
This scholarship has been set up
to assist non-traditional students, who have been out of high school
for at least 5 years at the time of their initial enrollment at
Lewis-Clark State College. Full-time, degree seeking students, who
meet this non-traditional requirement, may be eligible for a $500
renewable scholarship. Students must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA,
and preference will be given to applicants
who demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid
Office.

Eugene Northrup Scholarship
To be
eligible for this scholarship, students must be graduating seniors of an
area high school and have a GPA of 3.0. There are two annual awards.
Applicants may obtain applications from high school counselors at the
following schools: Lewiston, Clarkston, Lapwai, Culdesac, Asotin, and
Genesee. Students are also welcome to obtain an application directly
from the United Paperworkers scholarship committee or from the Financial
Aid Office at Lewis-Clark State College. Applicants must write a 500
word essay on Unionism and submit by April 17. For more information,

Maureen Streibick Award for
Outstanding Service
Foundation Scholarship
Maureen Streibick was a lifelong
resident of Lewiston who was deeply devoted to helping Lewis-Clark
State College grow and supported initiatives to help students
enroll. Maureen spent her grade school years at the Normal School
on the campus of what is now known as Lewis-Clark State College, and
continued her connection serving on the college’s Development
Foundation board for 13 years and earned several prestigious
awards. This scholarship has been set up to honor Maureen who
passed away in 2004. A student will be selected based on excellent
service to the college. The student must demonstrate financial need
as determined by the Financial Aid Office. The student must also
have a 3.5 cumulative GPA and enroll for 12 or more credits each
semester. A General Application is required and must be
submitted by March 1.

The Dene
Kay Thomas Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was established by friends and family of Dr. Dene Kay
Thomas in celebration of her Presidency from 2002 to 2010 at
Lewis-Clark State College for the purpose of offsetting the
educationally-related expenses of a Lewis-Clark State College student.
To be eligible, applicants must be classified as a full-time,
non-traditional, female student, have a cumulative GPA consistent with
the minimum required for admission and for progress toward her

The Edward Williams Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the family and
friends of Edward Williams for the purpose of offsetting the
educationally-related expenses of a Lewis-Clark State College student.

graduate of an Idaho high school, must be classified as a full-time

“Bob” B.H. and Patricia Wittman Endowed
Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship has been established in honor and
memory of Bob Wittman's many contributions to the community of LCSC
and the Lewis-Clark Valley. As a partner in Wittman Farms, Bob,
along with his brothers built a successful farming business. In
1978 Bob was recognized by the Lewiston Chamber of Commerce as the
Outstanding Farm Citizen in 1978. Bob also served on many boards
and commissions throughout his life, one of which as a charter member
to the Lewis-Clark State College Educational Assistance and
Development Foundation. For his personal contributions to LCSC,
the Industrial Agriculture Center on campus now bears the name Wittman
Complex in honor of Bob. This scholarship shall be awarded to a
student that has at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and enrolled in 12
credits per semester. A General Application is required and must
be submitted by March 1.

Roy and Leona
Nelson Foundation
The Roy and Leona Nelson Foundation was created to
provide scholarships to assist students from Eastern Washington and
Northern Idaho in their college education. The criteria
require that you be a full-time student (12+ credits), have
a cumulative GPA of 3.0 from high school and college studies and
have graduated from high school in Eastern Washington (east of the
Cascade Mountains) or North Idaho (north of Riggins, Idaho).
Students need to complete the application and submit by March
1.
If you are selected after the initial screening,
you will be required to sign a release of information to provide the
donor Board of Directors with a needs assessment to determine
financial need. You will also be requested to provide a letter
of recommendation from a high school counselor/instructor or college
