The American Legion Boys/Girls State Scholarship

These scholarships were established to acknowledge outstanding Idaho high school seniors who have participated in The American Legion of Idaho Boys and Girls State competition and who have selected Lewis-Clark State College as their school of choice. A separate application is required. Applications can be obtained from The American Legion Department of Idaho. There are four annual awards; two Boys state and two Girls state. The amount of the award is $200. Counselor Leadership Award

To be eligible for this award students must be an Idaho high school senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate community involvement and leadership abilities. Recipients are nominated by their high school counselors. Students must submit an Application for Admission, 7th semester transcripts and ACT/SAT scores prior to March 1. The number of annual awards is variable and worth $250. Foundation Scholars Scholarship
          Foundation Scholarship

Foundation Scholarships are awarded each year to outstanding Idaho and Asotin County, Washington high school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, community involvement and leadership ability. These $2500 awards are renewable for a total of four years of attendance at Lewis-Clark State College. Foundation scholars must register for and complete at least 12 credits each semester, as well as maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Students should apply for admission, submit 7th semester transcripts and ACT/SAT scores prior to March 1. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

High School Leadership Scholarship

This scholarship was established to benefit students who have demonstrated leadership by taking on leadership positions during high school.  To be eligible students must be an Idaho resident, have graduated from an Idaho High School, have a minimum 2.5 cumulative High School GPA, be full-time, degree-seeking student, attending on-campus, begin attendance in the Fall semester after High School graduation, be at least tentatively admitted with the Office of Admission by March 1, have held a leadership position during their Junior or Senior year of High School in an officially sanctioned club or team.  A separate application is required and must submitted by March 15.

Idaho Promise Category B Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship a recipient must graduate from an Idaho high school or its equivalent, be entering college as a degree-seeking student for the first time, have a 3.0 or better cumulative high school GPA or ACT score of 20 or better, be under the age of 22 and plan to attend as a full-time student. The amount of the award is variable and no separate application is required. Presidential Scholarship*

Presidential Scholarships are awarded to outstanding Idaho high school seniors who have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.5 or a 28 ACT composite/1260 SAT critical reading/verbal and math combined score and are Idaho residents.  This $1500 initial award amount can be renewed for a total of four consecutive years of attendance at Lewis-Clark State College.  An annual $500 increase, during these four consecutive years, is an option if additional criteria are met. Presidential Scholars must maintain a 3.0 semester GPA, while completing at least 12 credits each semester.  To be considered for the Presidential Scholarship, students must be at least tentatively admitted to the college and have their 7th semester  or 11th trimester high school transcripts on file with the Office of Admission prior to the March 1 Priority Deadline.  For more information, contact the Financial Aid Office, LCSC, 500 8th Avenue, Lewiston, ID 83501. Provost Scholarship*

The Provost Scholarship is awarded to promising Idaho high school seniors that have a cumulative GPA of 3.0-3.49 or a 20 ACT composite/950 SAT critical reading/verbal and math combined score and are Idaho residents.  This $1000 initial award amount can be renewed for up to four consecutive years of attendance at Lewis-Clark State College.  An annual $500 increase, during these four consecutive years, is an option if additional criteria are met.  Students must maintain a 3.0 semester GPA while completing at least 12 credits each semester.  To be considered for the Provost Scholarship students must be at least tentatively admitted to the college and have their 7th semester or 11th trimester high school transcripts on file with the Office of Admission prior to the March 1 Priority Deadline.  For more information, contact the Financial Aid Office, LCSC, 500 8th Avenue, Lewiston, ID 83501.  (800) 933-5272 or (208) 792-2224.

Lewis-Clark State College Senior Scholarship*

This $500 one year scholarship was established to award LCSC seniors who have met increase criteria while on scholarship.  To be eligible, students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, have completed at least 90 credits, be enrolled in a Bachelor degree program and who currently have completed the increase criteria each year for an In-State Presidential or Provost Scholarship or a Presidential Out-of-State Tuition Scholarship.  A student cannot have had to petition for reinstatement of their scholarship at any time to be eligible for this award.  No separate application is required and will be awarded based on meeting the above requirements.

*Effective for new scholarships awarded beginning with the 2013-2014 academic year.  First awards will not be made until 2016-2017.

 

State of Idaho Scholarship Category A

This $3000 scholarship is awarded to outstanding Idaho high school graduates on the basis of rank in graduating class, ACT scores, and recommendations from high school officials. To be eligible, students must intend to enroll in academic or vocational programs at eligible Idaho postsecondary educational institutions. Applications can be obtained from high school counselors or at the State of Idaho Scholarship page http://www.boardofed.idaho.gov/scholarship/scholarship_jump.asp. Deadline is January 15.

 

The following scholarships are offered through the Idaho State Board of Education.

 

Robert C. Byrd Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to Idaho high school seniors that enroll in college straight from high school.  To find out more and to apply visit the Idaho Scholarships link at:

Freedom Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to children of an Idaho resident that has been classified by the federal government as a prisoner of war, missing in action, or killed during conflicts starting with Southeast Asia to current.  To find out more visit:

Governor's Cup 

This scholarship is offered to Idaho residents that will graduate from an Idaho high school.  Academic or Technical students enrolled full-time could be eligible.  Students with a 2.8 cumulative GPA and who demonstrate high commitment to public service should apply.  To find out more and to apply visit the Idaho Scholarships link at:

Public Safety Officer Dependent Scholarship

Dependants of a full-time Idaho public safety officer that was killed in the line of duty while working for the state of Idaho could be eligible for a tuition waiver while attending an Idaho college.  To find out more visit:
