Gretchen Dimico Memorial Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicant must
be a full or part time nursing or radiography technician student at the LCSC Coeur d’Alene Center, be a
current or former member of a professional nursing organization, and must
demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75, the minimum required for
admission and progress in the Nursing or Radiography Technician Program. The amount of the award
varies. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March
1.

Bus & Mary Ellen Durant Timberline
High School Endowed Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship was established
by Bus and Mary Ellen Durant to encourage promising students from
Timberline High School, Clearwater County, to continue their
education. There will be two equal awards offered annually;
one for Nursing and one for a program within the Technical and
Industrial Division.
To be eligible, a student must have graduated from Timberline High
School or its successor in Clearwater County, Idaho, and preference
will be given to students enrolled full time at LCSC majoring in
Nursing. Second preference shall be given to students enrolled
full time who are majoring in any other discipline offered at LCSC.
A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

Louisa Murphy Nursing Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship a student must be
enrolled as a full-time student in the Division of Nursing and have a
minimum GPA of 3.0. Preference shall be given to a second year student who
has demonstrated significant commitment to the nursing profession and
their studies. The amount of the award is variable and shall not be given
to the same student two years in a row. A General Application is required
and must be submitted by March 1.

Regence BlueShield
of Idaho Scholarships
Foundation Scholarship
Regence BlueShield of Idaho has
established two scholarships to support incoming freshman pursuing
one of the following programs of study: Bachelor degrees in Business
or Healthcare related, Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in
Practical Nursing, Associate of Science for Radiographic
Science, and AAS in Medical Office. Students must have at least a
3.0 cumulative high school G.P.A, and be registered for at least
twelve credits. Preference will be given to minority students.
A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

Student Education Loan Forgiveness Contract
This loan forgiveness program encourages
Idaho students to
pursue professional nursing careers at an Idaho college or university and
to work in Idaho after graduating. To qualify, students must meet
all of
the following criteria: 1)have ranked within the top 15% of your
graduating class or earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, 2)enroll
as a full-time student in an Idaho college or university, pursuing a
program of study toward licensure by the Board of Nursing as a
registered nurse, and 3)pursue a nursing career within the state of
Idaho for a minimum of two years. Students who receive this award
have a maximum of eight years to complete their education and work for
two years in Idaho as a registered nurse. If all of the terms of
the contract are met, the total amount of the Student Education Loans is
forgiven. Three new awards are available each year, equal to
full-time resident fees. A separate application is required and
must be submitted by March 1. Students must also provide their

St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship
This nursing scholarship seeks to encourage
recipients to remain in the LC Valley after graduation. Students must
demonstrate serious intentions towards a nursing career and have completed
at least one semester of college work. Four awards (2 each semester) are
available each year, valued at $1000. A separate application is required
and must be submitted by May 1 (fall semester) and November 1 (spring
semester). Applications may be picked up in the Nursing Department of LCSC
after April 1 (fall scholarships) and October 1 (spring scholarships). For

Dr. and Mrs. Charles Simmons Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship was established to promote the
education of nurses in the Lewis-Clark Valley. Applicants must be enrolled
in the LCSC nursing program, must demonstrate financial aid as determined
by the Financial Aid Office, and show academic
promise and the ability to succeed in the nursing profession. The amount
of the award is variable. A General Application is
required and must be submitted by March 1.

The Grace Smith Endowed Scholarship in Nursing
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Grace Shawen
Smith and Ralph A. Shawen for the purpose of offsetting the
educationally-related expenses of a Lewis-Clark State College student of
nursing. To be eligible, applicants must be a senior level student
in good standing in the Nursing Program and be classified as a full-time
student, carrying 8 or more credits per semester. Candidates for
this scholarship shall be evaluated on the basis of academic performance,
leadership potential, financial need, nursing ability and potential,
active involvement in a professional nursing association (INSA or INA)
and/or the Nursing Division, and/or the community. The amount of the
award is variable. A General Application is required and must be
submitted by March 1.

Tri-State Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Undergraduate Scholarship
Each year, two scholarships valued at $1800 are
awarded from the Clay Taylor Embry and Mary Almire Smith Embry Memorial
Scholarship fund. Applicants must be a high school graduate (or
equivalent) who intends to begin a full-time nursing program in the fall
semester. Full-time nursing students entering their second year are also
eligible. Students must have a high school cumulative GPA of 2.5 or a 2.5
college GPA, with a minimum of 2.0 in any subject during the first year of
the nursing program. Recipients will be expected to apply for a position
at Tri-State after graduation and work for at least one year after
licensing as a Registered Nurse. A separate application is required and
must be submitted by June 1. Applications are available mid April and the
