Out-of-State Scholarships/Waivers

resource at any time.  Please note that Out-of-State Scholarships and Waivers are for students seeking their first Bachelor's or Associate's Degree.  Students with a Bachelor's Degree are not eligible.

Presidential Out-of-State Scholarship

Promising new non-resident students with at least a high school or transfer cumulative GPA of 3.0 will receive first consideration for this merit-based award. Students must be tentatively admitted by the priority deadline to receive first consideration (March 1 for Fall enrollment or November 1 for Spring enrollment). This scholarship will be renewable for up to four years of consecutive attendance towards a Bachelor’s degree and up to two years of consecutive attendance towards an Associate’s degree based upon meeting the following requirements: maintaining a 2.5 semester GPA, completing at least 12 credits per semester, and registering for classes during advanced registration each semester. Presidential Technical Out-of-State Scholarship

This merit-based award is awarded to students who (1) are a NEW non-resident student (returning and current students are not eligible), (2) have a high school or transfer (at least 14 transferable semester credits) cumulative GPA of 3.0, (3) and are majoring in one of the following majors:  Information Systems, Chemistry, Computer Science, Pre-Engineering, Information Systems Analysis, Industrial Electronics, Engineering Technology, Biology, Earth Information Systems, Radiography, Heating/Air Conditioning, Automated Manufacturing Technology, Mathematics, Printing Technology, Graphic Arts or Web Development.  Students must be tentatively admitted by the Priority Deadline to receive first consideration (March 1 for Fall enrollment or November 1 for Spring enrollment).  This scholarship will be renewable for up to four years of consecutive attendance towards a Bachelor's degree and up to two years of consecutive attendance towards an Associate's degree based upon meeting the following requirements:  maintaining a 2.5 semester GPA, completing at least 12 credits per semester, and registering for classes during advance registration each semester.  For more information, contact the Financial Aid Office, LCSC, 500 8th Avenue, RCH 208, Lewiston, ID 83501. Washington Reciprocity Out-of-State Scholarship

Awarded to promising new students from the State of Washington on the basis of academic merit. Students who have at least a high school or transfer cumulative GPA of 3.0 will receive first consideration.  Students must be tentatively admitted by the Priority Deadline to receive first consideration (March 1 for Fall enrollment or November 1 for Spring Enrollment).  This scholarship will be renewable for up to four years of consecutive attendance towards a Bachelor's degree and up to two years of consecutive attendance towards an Associate's degree based upon meeting the following requirements:  maintaining a 2.5 semester GPA, completing at least 12 credits per semester, and registering for classes during advanced registration each semester.  For more information, contact the Financial Aid Office, LCSC, 500 8th Avenue, RCH 208, Lewiston, ID 83501. Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Waiver

This waiver allows a select number of students to enroll in 2 and 4 year degree programs at 150% of LCSC’s Idaho resident fees. To qualify you must be from one of the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington or Wyoming.  Students who have at least a high school or transfer cumulative GPA of 2.8 will receive first consideration for the merit based award.  Students must be tentatively admitted by the Priority Deadline to receive first consideration (March 1 for Fall enrollment or November 1 for Spring enrollment).  This waiver will be renewable for up to four years of consecutive attendance towards a Bachelor's degree and up to two years of consecutive attendance towards an Associate's degree based upon meeting the following requirements:  maintaining a 2.5 semester GPA, completing at least 12 credits per semester, and registering for classes during advanced registration each semester.  For more information, contact the Financial Aid Office, LCSC, 500 8th Avenue, RCH 208, Lewiston, ID 83501.
