Caterpillar Scholarship in
Diesel Mechanics
This scholarship has been set up
by the Caterpillar Company to assist students enrolled in the Diesel
Mechanic program at Lewis-Clark State College. To meet eligibility
requirements students must register for twelve or more credits, have
Diesel Mechanics declared as a major, and currently have a 3.0
cumulative GPA. A separate application is required and is due
December 21 for the 2008 Spring semester.

Rob Copeland Memorial Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2004 in honor of
Tony Copeland and in memory of Rob Copeland by Hall-Copeland employees.
To be eligible a student must 1) be majoring in Auto Mechanics Technology,
2) must be a full-time student (12+ credits), and 3) must have a minimum
of 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate
financial need. This scholarship is renewable if the current recipient
continues to meet the criteria. A General Application is required and
must be submitted by March 1.

Bus & Mary Ellen Durant Timberline
High School Endowed Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship was established
by Bus and Mary Ellen Durant to encourage promising students from
Timberline High School, Clearwater County, to continue their
education. There will be two equal awards offered annually;
one for Nursing and one for a program within the Technical and
Industrial Division. The scholarship is renewable for up to
four years if the recipients continue to qualify academically.
To be eligible, a student must have graduated from Timberline High
School or its successor in Clearwater County, Idaho. First
preference
will be given to students who are full time, majoring in any program
in the Technical & Industrial Division. Second preference shall be given to students enrolled
full time who are majoring in any other discipline offered at LCSC.

Hinman-Jensen Endowed Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to students pursuing
either the Bachelor of Arts in applied Technology (BAT) or the Bachelor of
Arts in Applied Science (BAS). To be eligible, applicants must be
classified as a full-time student and have a cumulative GPA that is
consistent with the minimum required for admission and for progress toward
his or her major. Preference shall be given to students who have not
previously received this scholarship; but in the event that there are no
qualified new applicants, the award may be renewed to a past recipient who
continues to meet the above criteria. The amount of the award is variable.

Johnson Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is intended to help
students who are enrolled for 12 credits, an Idaho resident, involved in
4-H, and enrolled in a Vocational Training Program. The number of annual
awards varies between three and six and the amount varies from $750 to
$1250. A separate application is required which consists of an essay
response question. The deadline for applying is April 15 for the fall
semester and November
15 for the spring

Margaret G. Johnson and Marge J. Stout Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is intended for students currently
enrolled in a two-year professional-technical or BAS program at LCSC. To
be eligible, student must have completed at least 12 credits the previous
semester, must be a resident of Idaho, enrolled in a two year
vocational-technical program at LCSC and demonstrate a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Preference will be given to students who are currently enrolled in the
Office and Business Technology Program. The amount of the scholarship is
variable and may be renewed the following semester if the above criteria
is met. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March1.

The LCSC Welding Club Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the LCSC Welding
Club with the purpose of offsetting the educationally-related expenses of
a Lewis-Clark State College Welding Technology student. To be eligible,
applicants must have completed at least one semester as a full-time
student enrolled in the Welding Technology program, must be classified as
a full-time student with a declared major in Welding Technology and have a
cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. The amount of the award is variable.

Lewis-Clark Coin Club Endowed Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship was created for the purpose of
offsetting the educationally-related expenses of a Lewis-Clark State
College student. To be eligible for this award applicants must be
classified as a full-time student carrying 12 or more credits per semester
and have a
minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Annual awards are variable and are
awarded in alternate award cycles to an academic and a professional
technical student and may be renewed to students who continue to meet the
above criteria.

The Merlin
McCulley Memorial Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship has been created to offset
education-related expenses of a Lewis-Clark State College student.
Eligible applicants shall be pursuing an Associate of Applied
Science Degree in Graphic Arts/Printing Technology. Students must
also have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA, be a degree-seeking,
full-time (12 credits) student. Recipients must demonstrate
financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
This scholarship may be renewed
each semester as long as the student maintains a 2.0 cumulative
GPA and completes 12 credits. A General Application is required
and must be submitted by March 1.

Regence BlueShield
of Idaho Scholarships
Foundation Scholarship
Regence BlueShield of Idaho has
established two scholarships to support incoming freshman pursuing
one of the following programs of study: Bachelor degrees in Business
or Healthcare related, Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in
Practical Nursing, Associate of Science for Radiographic
Science, and AAS in Medical Office. Students must have at least a
3.0 cumulative high school G.P.A, and be registered for at least
twelve credits. Preference will be given to minority students.

Kenneth Rogers Memorial Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is intended to assist eligible
students who are enrolled full-time in the Auto Body Repair Program at
LCSC. To be eligible applicants must have a GPA consistent with the
minimum required for Admission and for progress toward completion of the
Associates degree or certificate and must have financial need as
determined by the Office of Financial Aid. Preference will be given to
non-traditional students over the age of 25. The amount of the award is
variable. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March
1.

The Bill Sawyer Memorial Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the family and
friends of Bill Sawyer for the purpose of offsetting the
educationally-related expenses of a Lewis-Clark State College student.
To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in a professional-technical
program, preference will be given to those from Idaho County, preference
will be given to those with special needs-physical handicap, learning
disability, extreme financial need (as determined by the Financial Aid
Office), or who is a high school underachiever, and must have a cumulative
GPA must be consistent with the minimum required for admission and for
progress toward his or her selected major. The amount of the award

The Ethel Shinn Alumni-Vocational Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the family and
friends of Ethel Shinn for the purpose of offsetting the
educationally-related expenses of Lewis-Clark State College students.
To be eligible, applicants must be professional-technical students, must be
classified as full-time students, carrying 12 or more credits per
semester, must have completed at least one full semester at LCSC with a
cumulative GPA of at least 2.5, and must have demonstrated financial need,
as determined by the Financial Aid Office. The amount of the award

Mamie Adams Memorial Award
A one-time scholarship of $1000 for a high school senior planning to
attend college in the fall or for undergraduate college students enrolled
at a 2- or 4-year institution. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.
Preference given to students who have demonstrated consistency and
improvement in their scholastic records. Can apply between February

National FFA Foundation (College & Voc/Tech School Scholarship
Program)
Various scholarships for members and former members of Future Farmers
of America. Many are for agriculture, but several are in other
fields or for any field of study. One scholarship program is for
non-members whose family's primary income is farming. Awards vary.

Oregon Logging Conference Scholarship
The Oregon Logging Conference has been involved in an active
Scholarship Program since 1968, providing financial assistance to worthy
community college and university students in timber-related fields.
Many employees of the timber industry today were beneficiaries of this
successful program. In twenty-seven years of the Scholarship
Program, the Oregon Logging Conference awarded over $186,000 in
scholarship funding to students selected or approved by the Education

Cummins Power Scholarship
Cummins Northwest and Lewis-Clark State College are taking an active
role in ensuring that future technicians are available. To qualify
for the Cummins Power Scholarship, a student must be enrolled or plans to
enroll in the Diesel Technology Program at LCSC. They must have at
least a 2.5 GPA for the year prior to application and be a candidate for a
A.A.S. degree, Advanced Technical Certificate or Technical Certificate in
Diesel Technology. Covers the cost of student fees and textbooks
(max $2000/yr.). Cummins Northwest will also provide a position at a
local branch as a technical trainee for up to 20 hours per week during
school and 40 hours per week during summer. Once chosen, the
scholarship will be in effect until graduation or termination of

Craftsman NHRA Scholarship Program (High School Seniors Only)
The purpose of the program is to recognize and reward high school
seniors who have worked hard not only academically but in helping to
improve their local communities and schools. This is a great
opportunity for students who are planning to specialize in the automotive
or marketing field and attend an accredited 2 or 4 year college,
university, or trade/technical school. The scholarship is funded by
Craftsman and administered by the National Hot Rod Association Youth and
Education Program. $1000 scholarships are awarded to three students
at each of the 21 NHRA events. Plus a $25,000 scholarship will be
awarded to one gifted high-school student at the Sears Craftsman Nationals

Specialty Equipment Market Association Memorial Scholarship Fund (must
be interested in auto)
This scholarship was established in 1984 to provide financial
assistance to worthy students pursuing careers in the automotive
aftermarket or related automotive fields. This award, while based on
merit, is a needs-based award. The SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund
clearly states that students "must demonstrate financial aid equal to, or
exceeding the amount of, the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund".

American Welding Society District Scholarship (must be enrolled in
welding, but would work great for a double major)
AWS offers scholarship funds that, once awarded, are payable directly
to the school to which you have been accepted. It will cover the
cost of tuition, books, supplies and related institutional costs. To
participate in the District Scholarship Program, download and complete the
online application, supply the requested documents and information, and
mail them to the AWS Foundation, 550 NW Lejeune Road, Miami, FL 33126,
Attention: Neida Herrera, Development Coordinator.

receiving applications at the Foundation office, however, is March 1.
Scholarships are awarded usually from May to June, with the funds made
available for the coming fall term.
The Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA)
Foundation Scholarship
Awards are made to high school seniors and to students already enrolled
in trade schools or college programs in welding, manufacturing technology,
engineering, and other metal working programs. Although diesel
students are not eligible for this scholarship, double majors are i.e.,
Diesel/Welding. The scholarship is an exclusive benefit to members
of FMA and it's affiliate, The Tube & Pipe Association (TPA). A
student is eligible if he or she is: Student member of FMA or TPA,
Student whose parent or guardian is a Personal Member of FMA or TPA, Full
time college student employed by a TPA or FMA Company Member, Student
whose parent or guardian is employed by a TPA of FMA Company Member.
A student membership costs $25. You must be an active member before
the first of the year to be eligible for that year. April 30th is
the deadline for application. The applicant must have a 3.0 or
better GPA to be eligible. Go to
