Financial Aid -->Scholarships and Waivers
LCSC provides access to a wide variety of institutional scholarships, out-of-state
tuition waivers and outside funding opportunities. Scholarships are available for various
majors, minority students, first-year freshman and non-traditional students.
Awards are based on academic merit, financial need or a combination of both. Out-of-state
tuition scholarships/waivers are available to non-resident students. The number and
dollar amounts of scholarship awards each year will depend on the availability of funding
and the continuation of individual scholarship programs.
For all scholarships which include the statement "must demonstrate
financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office", students
must file a FAFSA prior to the March 1 priority deadline. This
is how financial need will be determined. If no FAFSA information is
on file by the priority deadline, the application will be considered
incomplete.
Scholarships labeled "Foundation Scholarship" or "Alumni
Scholarship" may be
applied for using one General Application. Students need to complete
the checklist, which is included with the application, indicating the
scholarships for which they are applying.

scholarship. If the link contains “General app,” then this
scholarship will be on the checklist included with the General
Scholarship Application. Only one General Scholarship
Application is required per student.
