Spring Break of Service:

Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy   San Francisco, California

 

LCSC students have the opportunity to spend their spring break volunteering at the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy in San Francisco, California. Volunteer projects will include:

  • Habitat restoration and monitoring

  • Trail maintenance and restoration

  • Landscape maintenance

  • Native plant nurseries

  • Beach cleanups

 

Details:

Dates: March 13-20, 2010

Cost: $50 deposit upon registration, fundraising and/or additional cost will be required of all participants

Registration: There are 16 available spots for this trip. Registration can be completed using the Participant Agreement and Registration Form. Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. All registration must be completed no later than January 15, 2010.        

Credit: Students wishing to receive a class credit for this experience will need to fill out an Application for Individualized Study. In addition to the trip itself, student receiving credit will be required to plan or participate in a half-day worth of related service in the Lewiston area upon return from San Francisco.
