First Book-LCSC Borders Campaign

The 2008 Borders and Waldenbooks was a huge success this year, raising over $1 million for First Book's local efforts. First Book-LCSC was selected as one of the Borders Success Story Challenge Winners!  In recognition of the board's efforts, the First Book-LCSC  was awarded an extra $1000 in Borders gift cards, totaling $5000 in gift cards to grant to the literacy programs in the community.

First Book-LCSC is truly excited to be selected as a Borders Success Story Challenge Winner and would like to express gratitude for the wonderful generosity of Borders and Waldenbooks and their customers.

First Book-LCSC was able to award ten $500 gift cards good at any Borders/Waldenbooks location. 

The ten grant recipients are:

Grantham Elementary School - Clarkston

Riggins Elementary School - Riggins

White Bird Elementary School - White Bird

Elk City Elementary School - Elk City

Clearwater Valley Elementary School - Clearwater Valley

Grangeville Elementary School - Grangeville

Kamiah School District - Kamiah

Salmon River Public Library - Salmon River

Weippe Public Library - Weippe
