Graduation Application

Students become candidates for graduation upon filing an application for graduation with the Office of Admission/Registrar and paying the graduation fee (according to the timeline noted below).

  Spring 2008   October 1, 2007
  Fall 2008   March 3, 2008
  Spring 2009   October 1, 2008

How to Apply for Graduation

1.  Complete an Application for Degree form online.

2.  After the Application for Degree is electronically submitted, you must print a copy.  Take this printed copy to the Controller’s Office and pay the graduation fee.  The Controller’s Office staff will complete the receipt information on the top right-hand corner of the form, stamp it, and return it to you.

3.  Make an appointment with your advisor to discuss graduation and print out a Program Evaluation from WarriorWeb. If there are ANY discrepancies on the Program Evaluation (meaning there are lines that show missing requirements); you and your advisor must have these issues resolved PRIOR to submitting the graduation application to the Office of Admission/Registrar.

If no Program Evaluation is available for your major, you and your advisor must print and sign a Program Plan form (instead of a Program Evaluation).  This will be the case for all Interdisciplinary Studies majors as well as all BAS degrees.

4.  Your advisor will then sign the Application for Degree form AND the Program Evaluation, place the Division stamp on the form, and return this form to you.

5.  You will then meet with the Division Chair to secure the Chair’s signature and stamp on the Program Evaluation. 

6.  Return the Application for Degree with the Program Evaluation to the Office of Admission/Registrar.

7.  If you are seeking a minor, you must make sure the minor requirements are printed on the Program Evaluation AND your minor advisor and Division Chair have signed the Application for Degree form. 

8.  The Office of Admission/Registrar will then review the Application for Degree and Program Evaluation for proper signatures, payment receipt, and graduation requirements. Upon review, the Registrar will notify you of your graduation audit via your LCWarriorMail email address ONLY.

9.  Lastly, the Office of Admission/Registrar will record your name for the Commencement Ceremony.

Reminder
If you do not plan to walk in the Commencement Exercises in May, you must submit written notice to the Office of Admission/Registrar.
