POLITICAL SCIENCE 101 GENE STRAUGHAN

ASSIGNMENTS FOR AMERICAN NATIONAL GOVERNMENT

Each of the eighteen lessons contains a series of reading assignments and websites to allow students to develop a richer appreciation of American National Politics. In addition, the lesson assignments provide several concept and essay questions for students to answer. Finally, the lessons provide students with a unique opportunity to actively participate in interactive lectures and political debates. Recall that the students are required to write all course assignments in their own words, except on the few occasions where they find it necessary to use, quote, and cite authorities.

The student discussion forums (lectures/debates) corresponding with the following course sections will be posted in the Blackboard (Bb9) format. http://bb9.lcsc.edu/

     Section One: Constitutional Foundations
     Section Two: The Political Processes
     Section Three: Governmental Institutions
