Lewis-Clark State College offers a choice of three medical plans through Blue Cross of Idaho for employees and eligible dependents. Insurance is effective the 1st day of the following month. Vision coverage is included in your medical coverage choice. For reimbursement from an Out-of-Network provider, complete the VSP Reimbursement Form.
Your prescription drug coverage is included in your medical coverage choice.
Dental is provided through Blue Cross of Idaho and benefits are paid at the Traditional and PPO participating provider levels based on the contracting status of your dentist at the time services are rendered.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) offer a convenient and easy way to save money for eligible medical and dependent care expenses. If you are interested, you can participate in either or both of these plans, whatever suits your needs. FSA Claim Form
Professional Staff and Faculty have the option of choosing between two retirement plans. The employee contributes 6.97% and this is matched at 9.3%. Employees are vested in both plans immediately.
Classifed Staff have one retirement plan to choose from. The employee contributes 6.79% and this is matched at 11.32%. Employees are vested after 5 years of credited state service.
The state pays the full monthly cost for your short-term disability and long-term disability coverages.
Blue Cross of Idaho contracts with ComPsych to provide EAP benefits in each of the state's medical plans. The EAP is designed to provide short-term counseling services for you and your dependents (1 to 5 visits per person per benefit period with no copayment required). In addition to individual counseling, the EAP also includes Conflict Resolution and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing services. Vacation: Professional Staff and Faculty on 12-month contracts earn vacation leave at the rate of approximately 2 days per month. (Cap of 240 hours) Classified Staff earn vacation at the rate of approximately 1 day per month. (Cap depends on length of employment)
Sick: All full-time employees earn sick leave at the rate of approximately 1 day per month. (No cap on sick leave) These rates are based upon hours worked per pay period.

Lewis-Clark State College has 10 paid holidays per year including: New Year's Day, Idaho Human Right's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
