At Lewis-Clark State
College, theatre brings all of the arts together in productions that
entertain while reflecting the human condition. Theatre inspires
both imagination and learning while developing self confidence, trust,
and all of the skills necessary to learning, including retention,
organization, and all forms of communication. In Fall 2001 six
LCSC students were nominated in regional acting competitions and one
received a Certificate of Meritorious Achievement Award for his stage
managing skills from the Kennedy Center / American College Theater
Association in Washington, DC.
The LCSC Theatre Department
has restructured it's production and course offerings, as well as
individual course curriculum, in order to fulfill it's role as a
co-curricular department designed to enhance student education in all
fields of study from art to literature, teaching, communications,
advertising design and marketing while combining all of the arts into
productions for public performances. We are here to offer
enhancement to every student or class as a whole who want to expand
their studies through the arts, literature, performance and production.
We invite everyone to join
us and participate by enrolling in classes and performing in, or
attending, our
theatre productions
as we explore and reveal the arts as learning tools and
entertainment. We hope you will take advantage of all that we have
to offer at LCSC.
