Affirmative Action Process
advertising forms for benefit
eligible positions
Please complete the necessary
steps to
recruit and hire
for all
benefit eligible positions.
If this is a new position, a
New Position Approval Form
will need to be
completed before all other forms. If this is
not a new position, please proceed.
Complete the
Request to Hire and electronically route through
for approval.
Once the Request to Hire has been approved by the
appropriate Vice President/Provost/President,
proceed with the
Advertisement Packet and electronically route
through for approval.
Human Resource Services will then place the
advertisement on our online applicant tracking
system,
ApplicantPro, and assign the Search Committee
Chair with log in information. The
Search Committee Chair is responsible for placing
all other advertisements. The
Search Committee Members are then able to access and
update the status of resumes as they view them
online.
Note for Classified Staff positions:
Once the position closes, HRS will pull a Hiring
List from the Division of Human Resources to view
the candidates who are in the Top 25. HRS will send
the Hiring List to the Search Committee Chair and
you may then proceed with interviews.
After you have completed interviews, contact the
appropriate Vice President/Provost/President for
approval to make an offer.
Once you have received approval, the candidate will
need to complete the
Disclosure and Authorization Form
for a
background check to be processed. Human
Resource Services will then notify the Search
Committee Chair once the background check is
complete.
After the candidate has accepted the position,
complete the
Report of Hire and electronically route to HRS.
Note: In certain instances,
the search process may be waived. If you wish
to waive the process, please submit your
justification along with the
Recruitment Waiver Request.
