Purpose:
To provide a
variety of office support or
secretarial functions, which
requires an in-depth knowledge of
allied health short-term workforce
training classes, and the ability
and eagerness to give excellent
customer service and promote
Workforce Training
services to the public.
Principle Accountabilities:
v
Provide office
support and secretarial functions
for Allied Health, EMS Fall
Conference, and on-line purchased
coursework that requires in-depth
knowledge, independent judgment, and
computer operations daily to ensure
programs are meeting the needs of
our customer base.
v
Perform
administrative duties for classes,
set up on Datatel, generation of
personnel action forms, generation
of requisitions, generation and
follow through of book orders,
supply orders, student registration,
secretarial support for Allied
Health Coordinator, process refunds,
screen calls, open and close class
files, confirm room reservations,
generate certificates, summarize
student reactions to instruction and
distributes to appropriate
individuals.
v
Perform duties
as a liaison between CNA testing
company, facilities, Center for New
Directions as directed by the Allied
Health Coordinator.
v
Secure and
track CPR and Assistance with
Medications cards and provide to
teachers as required by policy.
v
Receive
requests for facility classes;
communicate with Allied Health
Coordinator regarding paperwork for
classes and requirements of classes
and duties as assigned.
v
Perform as a
full team member in the
Workforce
Training
Center
efforts and other duties as
required.
Minimum Qualifications:
v
Demonstrated
knowledge of rules of effective
business English usage, spelling,
punctuation, and grammar, answering
a business telephone with customer
oriented business telephone
procedures and etiquette.
v
At least one
year experience filing and
retrieving files, setting up new
files, classifying files, labeling
files, reviewing documents for
compliance with established
procedures.
v
Demonstrated
knowledge of using a computer to
enter and retrieve information, use
of Microsoft programs, Word, Access,
Excel, Outlook, and various other
software programs, keyboarding at
least at the rate of 40 wpm,
creating mass mailings
v
Demonstrated
ability to make change, use a cash
register, cashiering, and basic math
skills.
v
Demonstrated
ability to prioritize and work on
multiple projects in the course of a
day with high degree of accuracy.
v
Generalized
knowledge of allied health
short-term training programs.
v
At least one
year experience working with a
variety of personalities with
demonstrated ability to provide
exemplary customer service.
v
Demonstrated
ability to work in a team
environment, with enthusiasm and
goal oriented behaviors.
