Course Management Instructional Designer/Trainer

Starting Date:  Pending State Board Approval

Salary:  $36,400

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design or related field.  Experience with Blackboard CE or other learning management systems.  Demonstrated proficiency working with content development software (Camtasia, RespondUs, Adobe Creative Suite).  Excellent presentation, communication, and customer service skills essential.  At least two years experience in instructional design/course development.

Responsibilities:  Provide high quality instructional design, guidance and support in creating and adapting courses to an online environment.  Manage the course development and delivery process for assigned courses meeting established guidelines and timelines.  Provide structured one-on-one and group training for development of online course materials.  Serve on college wide committees and/or task forces as needed.

College:  Lewis-Clark State College is a regional college, founded in 1893, with a three-part role and mission as a traditional baccalaureate college, a technical college, and a community college for north central Idaho.  The College offers undergraduate instruction in the liberal arts & sciences as well as in professional and applied technical programs.

Salary:  Based on experience and qualifications, up to $40,000.

Qualifications:  Master's Degree in education, counseling or related field.  Teaching or counseling - preferably at the middle school or high school level.  Familiarity with federal financial aid and college admissions processes.

Preferred qualifications include experience in federal grant programs, especially TRIO programs, and successful grant writing experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the implementation of the Educational Talent Program's objectives

  • Negotiating for Educational Talent Search with Lewis-Clark State College.

  • Takes all the necessary steps to ensure continued operation and funding of the ETS Program.

  • Assuring the completion of all reports and budget matters.

  • Provides management and supervision on a daily basis.

  • Supervises staff and provides a working environment that is conducive to program success.

  • Ability to plan activities and provide successful student outcomes.

  • Responsible for researching and submitting continued grant proposals.

Local Area Network Specialist

Lewis-Clark State College, a public four-year institution in Lewiston, Idaho, is looking for motivated candidates for the position of Local Area Network Specialist in the Information Technology department.    This position works on a team that provides administration, support and maintenance of the hardware and software of the LCSC network, including Internet and Intranet servers, cable infrastructure, routers, and switches.  This person will perform network upgrades, enhancements and modifications, maintain network hardware and software inventory, monitor network performance, and utilize push technology to distribute software and utilities, and train users on network concepts and applications.

Required: 

  1. Associates degree in Information Technology or related field.  Equivalent experience as a network technician may substitute for degree.
  2. Skills focusing on TCP/IP, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows 2000/03 Server, Exchange Server, Windows XP, and Vista.
  3. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  4. Knowledge and experience with multiple LAN/WAN topologies.
  5. Excellent troubleshooting skills as it relates to network systems

Preferred:

  1. B.S. degree is Information Technology or related field
  2. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
  3. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2005 including installation, configuration, and performance monitoring.
