Lewis-Clark State College encourages international students to get involved in the Lewiston-Clarkston community!
International students who receive a scholarship from the International
Programs Office are required to volunteer 10
hours of community service in order to maintain
The International Programs Office offers several outreach programs
for students and community members including:
Community Involvement: Our international students volunteer their time to educate the
local community about their culture and country. If you are interested in requesting an
international student to volunteer their time
for this purpose, please contact our Community Outreach Coordinator.
Conversation Partners: Our IIE program provides a conversation class to our
English langauge students.
We need English speaking volunteers for six
weeks of every term for one hour a week.
This time is a great opportunity to meet and
get to know our international students.
If you are interested please, contact our Community Outreach Coordinator.
Homestay Host: The LCSC homestay program is a vital part of
the local community.
Our host families offer a safe living and learning environment and open their homes
and families to international students.
Students pay a set monthly fee to host families and in turn a host family must provide:
- A private bedroom
- Private or shared bathroom
- Access to kitchen
- Arrival pickup from airport
- Pick up/drop off students to and from class if home is over
one mile (1.6 km) from LCSC
If you are interested in becoming a host family, please fill out the Homestay Host
Application and email to email@example.com.
