International Academic Scholarship

LC State offers the Presidential International Academic Scholarship to all qualified candidates. New undergraduate students** are automatically considered for the scholarship.

*Scholarship/waiver amounts may only be applied to the non-resident (out-of-state) portion of tuition, and may vary depending several factors including:

  • the student’s admission status and grade-point average,
  • special conditions associated with specific sponsor and exchange agreements,
  • special conditions associated with articulation and transfer agreements,
  • athletic and/or other scholarships and waivers

The International Academic Scholarship is a renewable semester-based award.  Students are eligible to receive this award for the duration of their enrollment at LC State if they meet the following conditions:

  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average
  • Enroll in 12 or more credits each semester
  • Are not fully funded by a sponsoring agency
  • Are not already receiving a full out of state tuition scholarship

New international students at LC State are automatically eligible for the International Academic Scholarship.  No separate application is required.  Offers are awarded once a student is at least tentatively admitted.

Washington, Oregon, Idaho Transfer Scholarship

Qualified international transfer applicants from select community colleges are eligible to apply for the Community College Transfer Scholarship. Please contact [email protected] for additional information.

  • Must be a new, non-resident transfer student to Lewis-Clark State College
  • Must have an Associates degree from a Washington, Oregon, or Idaho community college
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Must be a direct transfer (enroll within one year of obtaining associate's degree)
  • Must be full time (12 credits or more)
  • Must enroll in a bachelor degree program

  1. Complete the Community College Transfer application and email to [email protected] and [email protected]
  2. Submit copy of official transcripts to [email protected]
  3. Applicants will receive notification of award from the Financial Aid Office

Renewal of the Community College Transfer Scholarship is automatic, if recipients meet the following criteria:

  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA
  • Enroll on a full-time basis (12 or more credits)
  • Make satisfactory academic progress towards bachelor degree program

Western States International Transfer Scholarship

Qualified transfer candidates from community colleges in Arizona, California, Colorado, Texas, Utah, and Nevada are eligible to apply.

Additional undergraduate scholarships are available.  The Financial Aid Office provides a comprehensive list of scholarships.

**Bridge and Special ESL/Culture Programs students are not eligible for undergraduate scholarships during their Bridge and Special ESL/Culture Program. They can become eligible once they are admitted to their undergraduate programs. Please contact [email protected] for program dates and costs.
