The Information Technology (IT) Departments mission
is to provide quality IT infrastructure support for the current and future needs of
Lewis-Clark State Colleges staff, faculty, and students. Areas of support
include:
- Desktop Computing: IT assists with the
procurement, implementation and ongoing support of most desktop computers used by LCSC
staff, faculty, and students. This includes repairs, maintenance and upgrades, and
other technical hardware and client software support.
- Data and Voice Communication: IT provides full
service support for both the data and voice networks across the campus. This support
includes the campus network backbone and all internal building network infrastructures.
- Central Application Support: IT is responsible
for several major central software applications used by faculty, staff, and
students. These include Web/Internet services, Datatel Colleague, and Microsoft
Exchange/Outlook.
- Media
Services: Media Services supports instruction as well as
institutional advancement through Presentation Graphics, Video
Production, Interactive Video Conferencing and Classes, and Online
Course Development.
As part of ITs service, the department maintains a
HelpDesk to support faculty, staff, and students. The HelpDesk provides a single point-of-contact for initiating support requests, request an
e-mail account, or request assistance on IT related issues.
