Do I need to pay the transporation fee if I am dropping off/picking up my child from an off campus class?

If you take your child to his/her class and pick him/her up, the transportation fee can be waived. To waive the transportation fee you will need to contact the Kids’ College office at 208-792-2860.

PLEASE NOTE: If you register online, the transportation fee will not be waived.

Will I receive a reminder about classes?

You will receive a confirmation by phone or e-mail the week prior to the class start date, listing the class location, date and time, and any additional information you might need.

Do children have to sign up for classes all day?

There is no requirement for you to sign up for a full day of classes within a session or to sign up for more than one session. Each class stands alone and you can sign up for one time slot per session. There are a variety of different classes to choose from in each time slot and within the different sessions, so we recommend that you sign up for what works best for you.

What are the drop-off and pick-up procedures?

For the safety of all children, you must accompany your child to the designated area no more than 15 minutes prior to class and check in with the Kids’ College staff. Children should NOT be dropped off or picked up without being properly checked in/out.

There will be no type of supervision for your child if you arrive earlier then the designated time of 8:00am. We also ask that you pick your child up within five minutes of their scheduled class ending time, in person, at the designated area and check out with Kids’ College staff. There will be no type of supervision after 4:45pm, so please arrive on time. If you have special circumstances, please contact the Kids’ College Office at least 24 hours ahead of time.

Please keep in mind we have limited staff supervision prior to and after hours of operation. Also note that the only supervision provided during Kids’ College sessions includes the time your child is checked in for a class until your child is checked out, including breaks between enrolled classes and the lunch break. If your child is not enrolled in back-to-back classes, supervision will not be provided for the time they are not enrolled in class. Please arrange for them to be picked up and checked out at the appropriate time.

What are the lunch arrangements?

Kids’ College provides a supervised lunch period for children who attend classes immediately before or after lunchtime. Please check your child’s schedule to see if their class qualifies. Lunches are not provided, so please send your child with a sack lunch or they may also purchase a lunch combo on campus at a special price. Children may be sent with lunch money OR (NEW THIS YEAR) you may purchase lunches online when you enroll. Please send your child with the correct amount of money because we cannot be responsible for any shortages. Supervised games and activities will be available to those who finish their lunch early. Parents are always welcome to join their children for lunch.

Please note there will be no supervision outside of classes other than transition between classes and lunchtime. If your child is not signed up for afternoon classes please arrange for them to be picked up and checked out at the appropriate time.

What if my child is unable to attend classes?

You may cancel registration for a full refund up to 2 weeks prior to the class start date. After the 2 weeks prior to class you may transfer to another class or receive a credit to put towards a future class. Refunds completed within 2 weeks of the class start date will result in a $10 administration fee. Refunds can take up to several weeks for processing. No refunds will be issued after the start day of a class. If your child needs to miss a day within the session, there will be no cost adjustments and arrangements should be made with the Kids’ College office in advance.

What if my child's class is cancelled?

Sometimes a change in schedule or unforeseen event may cause us to cancel a class. If this happens, you will be notified immediately and can arrange to transfer into another class, receive credit toward another session or receive a full refund. Refunds may take several weeks to process.

Who do I contact in the event of an emergency?

If you need to reach your child or the Kids' College Coordinator during class time, please contact the Kids' College office at (208) 792-2860.
