The Lewis and Clark Expedition of 1803-1806 was a major event that shaped the boundaries and the very future of America. It is the mission of the Clearwater-Snake Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Planning Committee to commemorate that journey, re-kindle its spirit of discovery, and acclaim the contributions and goodwill of the native peoples.
In cooperation with state, federal, local, and tribal governments -and all interested individuals, organizations and communities - the Committee will promote educational programs, cultural sensitivity and harmony, and the sustaining stewardship of natural and historical resources along the route of the expedition.
