          Ramirose Attebury
Speaker:  Ramirose Attebury
University of Idaho
Program:  Perceptions of a Profession: How Librarians are Embracing or Challenging Stereotypes through Self-Created Online Videos
Ramirose Attebury is a reference and instruction librarian at the
University of Idaho.  She has a BA in history from Eastern Oregon
University, an MLIS from the University of South Carolina, and an
MA in history from Central Washington University.
 


Shirley Biladeau

Speaker:  Shirley Biladeau
Idaho Commission for Libraries
Program Continuing Education You Can Use
Shirley Biladeau is the Continuing Education Consultant for the Idaho
Commission for Libraries.  Passionate about education, Shirley has been
involved in education since the 1970’s, both teaching in public schools
and providing professional development opportunities for others.
 

Ruth Funabiki

SPLAT-ignition

Ruth Funabiki is head of technical services at the University of Idaho
Law Library and an adjunct instructor at Washington State’s Murrow
College of Communication.   She is a long-time member of ILA, a member
of SPLAT and principal typist for Facebook’s Jolie Vandal.  She edited
the “tagging” unit in SPLAT 101, and she loves to demonstrate tips and
tricks using DEL.ICIO.US. 
Deborah Green

Laura Guedes
Speakers:  Deborah Green and Laura Guedes

Program:  Creating Descriptive Metadata for Digitizing Historical
Photographs

Deborah Green is the Digital Initiatives Librarian in the Special Collections
& Archives department at the University of Idaho.  She holds a MLIS from
the University of South Carolina, and a BA in English from Washington
State University.  Deborah worked concurrently on her MLIS and in the
Digital Collections department at the University of South Carolina where
she created metadata and digitized various types of collections from
various departments and libraries on campus.

Laura Guedes has a Masters Degree in Information Science from the
Federal University of Rio de Janeiro-UFRJ and a Bachelors degree in
Museum Studies from the University of Rio de Janeiro-UNIRIO. She
gained experience in processing sound recordings and photographs
as an archivist at the National Archives of Brazil, where she worked for
fourteen years, eight of those years as a cataloger at the department of
Audiovisual Collections of that institution.


Laura is an Archival Assistant at the department of Special Collections
and Archives of the University of Idaho Library.  In that position she has
processed manuscripts and archives, including materials of the
International Jazz Collections. Currently she is arranging and describing
artifacts and photographs of the Lionel Hampton Library Collection, at
the same time creating metadata to CONTENTdm. 


Michael Greenlee

Program:
 Legal Research on a Dime
Michael Greenlee is head of public services at the University of Idaho
Law Library. Michael was chair of the ILA Intellectual Freedom committee
from 2003-2008 and has presented at previous ILA conferences on the
topics of censorship and material challenges, the USA PATRIOT Act,
and legal research. When he is not working at the law library, Michael
teaches tai chi and yoga through the UI Wellness program.

 
Timothy S. Hillebrand, Ph.D.

President Latah County Library Foundation
Program: How to Create a Sustainable Residual Income for Your
Library
Tim is a retired archaeologist who has been a museum director, VP of
a film company, and president of Unitrex, which ran archaeological
expeditions all over the world. He has served on many boards for
various organizations including the Latah County Library Board, Friends
of the Moscow Library, Idaho Library Association Board, Latah County
Library Foundation Board, and the Idaho Commission for Libraries
Advisory Board. He is a digital technology enthusiast and has
published hundreds of articles on the subject. Internet marketing,
Web 2.0, and social networking are his current passions along with
blogging on a variety of subjects.


Robert Perret

Speaker:  Robert Perret and Nancy J. Young

Program: 
Interviewing as Seen from Both Sides of the Table
Robert Perret is a Reference/Instruction Librarian at the University of
Idaho.  He earned a BS in Journalism from the University of Colorado
and a MLS from the University of Denver.  Robert and his wife enjoy
exploring the palouse and experimenting with homemade pizza.

Nancy J. Young began her current position as Reference/Instruction
Librarian/Associate Professor at the University of Idaho Library in
1998 and has served as Interim Reference Coordinator since 2007. She
has worked at a number of academic libraries (including the Hotel
Administration Library at Cornell University and the law libraries at
the University of Southern California and UCLA) in both technical and
public services. She holds an MLS degree from the University of
Wisconsin--Madison and a JD degree from the University of
California-Berkeley

Nancy Young

Program Rethinking Resource Sharing: Low- and No-Technology Innovations
As Networking Consultant at the Idaho Commission for Libraries, Gina
Persichini focuses on resource sharing and developing statewide library
programs.  She coordinates Libraries Linking Idaho (LiLI), a collaborative
web-based program of the Idaho library community and the Idaho
Commission for Libraries. 

Gina serves as a member of the Board of the Idaho Library Association
and as Idaho’s Chapter Councilor to ALA.  In addition to ALA Council
duties, Gina is a member of ASCLA’s Interlibrary Cooperation and
Networking section, RUSA STARS, and the ALA Chapter Relations
Committee.  She has served on the Rethinking Resource Sharing initiative
Steering Committee since its origination, and is currently the Chair
of the Rethinking Resource Sharing Policies Committee, which is jointly
housed within the initiative and RUSA STARS.


             Darin Saul

Keynote:  Improving the Sustainability of Your Library
Darin Saul is the Sustainability Coordinator at University of Idaho and
Director of the UI Sustainability Center.  He has a Ph.D. in English and
American Literature from Washington State University.  He has 15 years
experience working on environmental and sustainability projects in higher
education, with non profits and in small business.  He grew up in Walla
Walla, Washington and has lived in Pullman, Washington since the early
1990s.  He enjoys backpacking, fishing, skiing and attending his children’s
activities.


Jenny Semenza

Speaker:  Jenny Semenza
Idaho State University
Program:  Notes from a Wandering Librarian
Jenny Semenza has been the head of Reference and Instructional Services
at Idaho State University for the past seven years.  She recently completed
a sabbatical where she visited academic and public libraries throughout
the West.  She is actively involved in the information literacy program at
ISU, particularly in the areas of web 2.0, social software, business, law, and
science. She is known for her energetic and enthusiastic presentation style.

Debra Spidal is Cataloging Librarian at Washington State University,

             Nancy Sprague
Speakers:  Nancy Sprague and Ramirose Attebury

Program:  Research Assistance Program
Nancy Sprague has been a reference librarian at the University of Idaho
Library since 2004.  Before coming to Idaho, she had the opportunity to
work as a science librarian at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland
for five years. She has also held reference librarian positions at the
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and Los Alamos National
Laboratory. She received her MLS from the University of Arizona


Amy Thompson

Book Repair on a Budget
Amy Thompson has been the Library Bindery Tech for the University
of Idaho Library since June 2005.  She was a student worker for circulation
for three years before that.  She has a Master’s degree in Architecture
from the University of Idaho and currently lives in Palouse, Washington
with her husband, two dogs and three cats.  She enjoys gardening,
reading, and cooking.

Program:  Funding Fundamentals: Increasing Support for the Library
in
YOUR Community
Sue Walker is a library consultant at the Idaho Commission for Libraries
and focuses on increasing library services and programs to underserved
adults, including those served by the Talking Book Service. She enjoys
meeting members of the library community and discussing issues of
interest to staff and their communities.

Erin McCusker has been with the Idaho Commission for Libraries since
2003.  She supports librarians, library staff and trustees as they provide
the best of library service for their communities.  She loves her job because
of the wonderful people she is privileged to work with in the Idaho library
community.  She lives in the Idaho City mountains with her fabulous family,
enjoying the beautiful surroundings and many activities.

Geoffrey D. Wood

Geoffrey D. Wood is an Assistant Professor/Cataloging Librarian at the
University of Idaho.  He received his MLIS from Rutgers University and
a Masters in English Literature (with a concentration in film) from
Minnesota State University, Mankato.  He is a contributor/editor to
Nancy Olson’s Cataloging of Audiovisual Materials and Other
Special Materials
, 5th ed.  When not cataloging, he is an avid layabout.
