LCSC Library Catalog - provides information about the materials owned by the LCSC Library and other North Idaho Academic Libraries, including North Idaho College and the University of Idaho. Also has a link to WIN Libraries, so you can search Gonzaga, Whitworth, and VALNet Libraries.
Virtual Reference Library - Search a collection on online reference books from Gale, a respected publisher of subject-focused encyclopedias and dictionaries.
For information on culture, try searching for your country with subject terms like "National Characteristics" or "Manners and customs" or "Culture" (for example, Hungary AND national characteristics).

WorldCat - A catalog of items held at libraries throughout the world. Many of these materials can be borrowed through inter-library loan. This database also provides more in-depth cataloguing to materials owned by LCSC.

ABI/INFORM Global - Provides scholarly
and comprehensive coverage of business research topics. Search nearly
3000 worldwide business periodicals for in-depth coverage of business
and economic conditions, management techniques, theory, and practice of
business, advertising, marketing, economics, human resources, finance,
taxation, computers, and more. Expanded international coverage.
Includes The Wall Street Journal.
CBCA Complete - This product includes all the content
present in the Canadian Business & Current Affairs (CBCA) databases.
Information is present from all areas including: current events,
business, education, science and medicine, arts, law, academia, and
lifestyles, all with a Canadian focus. Full text is available within
these areas.
ProQuest Asian Business and Reference -
Asian business and financial information from key international
publications including Far Eastern Economic Review and Asiaweek.
Snapshot Series - Snapdata International
Group is the only market research company to specialize in top-line
international market research overviews. The Snapshot International
Group Series of 4,600 reports is designed to provide an instant overview
of a market, and the data is supplied in both graphical and tabular
format for ease of interpretation and analysis. All data is compiled in

- Provides hard-to-find local and regional business news coverage of
large corporations, privately held companies, local start-ups, executive
profiles, marketing, finance, and industry news. Provides access to
business information not typically found in national news sources.
Contains news and analysis, information on local markets, and more
gathered from major business tabloids, magazines, daily newspapers, wire
services, and city, state, and regional business publications.

ProQuest Central
- Includes articles from over 11,000 magazines and journals. Many,
but not all, provide the full-text of articles. Over 160 subjects areas
are covered extensively in this product including business and
economics, health and medical, news and world affairs, technology, and
social sciences.
OxResearch - A "first draft of history"
as it occurs. Provides succinct analytical articles covering world and
regional economic and political developments of major significance.
Evaluates issues and events within a coherent political, social, and
economic framework. Contains objective, multi-disciplinary articles
compiled by an extensive international network of over 1,000 faculty
members at Oxford and other leading universities around the world, as

Research Library - A smaller collection
of periodicals than ProQuest Central. Covers a broad range of subjects
including arts, business, children, education, general interest, health,
humanities, international, law, military, multicultural, psychology,
sciences, social sciences, and women's interests.
Canadian Newsstand - Canadian Newsstand
offers unparalleled access to the full text of Canadian newspapers.
ProQuest National Newspapers Premier -
Includes a balance of national and regional newspapers chosen for their
journalistic excellence and regional representation. All titles are
available in full text. Papers include national titles such as The New
York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post along with a
selection of titles from across the U.S. such as the South Florida Sun
Sentinel, Minneapolis Star Tribune, Denver Post, The Sacramento Bee plus
other important U.S. papers.
Google Scholar - A service from Google that provides citations to scholarly journals.

Hoover's Company Records - Up to date
proprietary editorial content covering more than 40,000 public and
non-public companies and 225,000 key executives. Hoover's, widely recognized
as a leading provider of corporate data, delivers in depth industry
analyses, information on a company's location, summary financials, top

Public Companies on Bloomberg.com -- The latest business news and market data on public companies. You can select by company name, by industry, or by country.

The World Bank - Provides free and open access to a comprehensive set of data about development in countries around the globe, together with other datasets cited in the data catalog.

FedFlix - The best movies of the United States Government, from training films to history, from our national parks to the U.S. Fire Academy and the Postal Inspectors, all of these fine flix are available for reuse without any restrictions whatsoever. Online Resources for Writers - Links to useful information from colleges and universities, covering all phases of writing academic essays. Provided by the Amherst Writing Center.
Assignment Calculator - Based on the start date and due date for your assignment, this calculator will map out benchmarks for completing tasks leading up to the final paper. It also provides links to other pages with tips on understanding your assignment, focusing your topic, etc. It was developed by the library at the University of Minnesota, so a few of its linked resources are not available to you. But we have many similar resources available to you on this campus.

Wikipedia : Researching with Wikipedia - A page on the Wikipedia site that describes the strengths and weaknesses of Wikipedia as a source of information. It includes this statement: "In all academic institutions, Wikipedia, along with most encyclopedias, is unacceptable as a major source for a research paper."
