Laptops  

The Library also has a few laptops to check out to students.  (Only current LCSC students may check out laptops.) Each time a student borrows a laptop, he (or she) must

• present a Student ID; and

• read a liability statement and agree to its provisions by signing the statement. 

Students may borrow the laptops overnight, beginning at 2pm each afternoon (Monday-Saturday), at 4 pm on Sundays.

The laptop is due back by 12:00 noon the following day (2 pm on Sundays). 

Laptops are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Patrons may not renew or place holds on laptops.

If the laptop is not returned on time, fines begin to accumulate at the rate of $2.50 for the first half hour and $10 per hour.  After 24 hours, the laptop will be considered stolen, and a police investigation will begin.

Students who borrow the laptops are responsible for replacing them, if lost or damaged.  The minimum replacement cost is $2,000.
