The search term instant messaging returned 23,259 articles.

The search term instant messaging and college students returned 167 articles.  By simply adding one more search term, we narrowed our results drastically.

Let's look at another way to narrow our results. 

Right below the word "Results" in big letters, we see a box of Suggested Topics.  These are subject terms that the database company has assigned to articles to describe what they are ABOUT.  These articles don't just mention the term "instant messaging" in an article that is mostly about something else.  These articles are really ABOUT instant messaging.  Notice that one of our choices is articles that are about both "College students" AND "instant messaging."  Let's choose that one.  Click on it now.
