Journal Articles Start by searching the electronic indexes to identify the journal articles that you would like to use. Refer to Module 1D for a tutorial on searching the journal databases. The login to access the databases is the same as your WarriorWeb login (usually first initial/middle initial/last name). If you use a number at the end of your name to login to WarriorWeb, you will need to use that same number here. Your password will be your birthdate, in six digits (numbers). For example, if you were born on April 5, 1990, your password would be 040590. The journal databases include many full-text articles (i.e., all the words of the article appear on your screen). You can then print or email to yourself one copy of each article that you find useful. If you cannot find materials on your topic, contact a Librarian for help. If, however, you find only a citation or abstract (a summary of the article) and not the full-text, complete the Forms for Requesting Materials. You can also find a link to these forms on the Navigation box on the left of many Web pages, including our Home Page. When you fill out the form, be sure to identify yourself as an Outreach Student. You can find more information about this process later in this tutorial, under "Delivery Program." If we subscribe to the journal that has the article you want, we will make a copy of the article from our copy of the journal and mail it to you right away. If we don't subscribe to the journal you want, we will request a copy from another library. There may be a charge for this service, if the lending library charges a fee for this service. You will be responsible for any charges. You should allow 2-3 weeks to receive the article from another library.
