ANSWER

Copying and pasting text into your paper without citing your source is plagiarism, plain and simple.

This kind of plagiarism is easy to do and is, often, unintentional.  In recent years, some very prominent writers and historians have been accused of plagiarism, and often they have been guilty of this very form of activity -- copying and pasting without keeping track of the source.

Try to develop a system for keeping track of the sources you are using.  If you have trouble making a system for yourself that works, ask your instructor for suggestions or get some help from the Online Writing Lab.
