Review

How about if it were cited this way?

  • Oluko, O.  Burkina Faso.  Ouagadougou:  Longman, 1998.

If you have learned to use the MLA citation style, you will be able to look at this citation and immediately be able to answer the following questions:

  • Who is the author?

  • What is the name of the publication?

  • Where was it published?

  • Who is the publisher?

Becoming proficient in one or more citation styles will save you a lot of time in finding materials for your papers.  And you will feel much more comfortable in reading scholarly publications, because you will better understand the process that went into creating them.
